Fallout with terminators

It is literally that easy to make a good terminator videogame, let's take a look

My love for the Terminator franchise

I absolutely LOVE, the terminator franchise. I can honestly watch the first two terminator films over and over again and not get bored. There's just something about the story that not only leaves an endless opportunity for great story telling, but the evolution of terminators is always fun to see. I especially love to see all the creative ways the resistance defeats said terminators.

Terminator Resistance

It would be an immense disservice if I did not bring up this game. I actually enjoyed Terminator: Resistance, however my biggest problem with the game was it was way too linear for the terminator world. There were times too the AI was just dumb, and really unhelpful. However, those two gripes aside I did appreciate the story and the multiple endings. The gameplay itself was good, not great but good enough. However I do appreciate since this game is set after judgement day it doesn't take too long to get the plasma weapons. Finally spoiler alert for those who have yet to play the game but still want to, I'm still unsure how I felt about the big reveal that you're your own protector. However, the ending of the game being a perfect tie-in to the first two films was a great touch. I hate using grading scales however if I had to grade this game on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it about a 7.5 out of 10.

My ideal terminator game

As the header stated, my perfect terminator videogame is literally fallout with terminators. Let me customize my own soldier in the resistance to fight the terminators. Let me customize my weaponry and explore the wasteland to my hearts content. I'd also love to help recruit factions of survivors to the resistance. Also a touch of RTS games, organizing and/or participating in raids on Skynet facilities. Scavenging for food and/or supplies. As frustrating as it would be, I'd also appreciate a game where the terminators randomly attack the resistance strongholds both where you are and where you are not present at. Then you could respond by helping or not, entirely up to you.

Plot

As for the central plot for the game you're born after judgement day inside one of the resistance shelters. So basically my overall dream is to build a resistance stronghold and make it rival the one that's housing John Connor. As time goes on and you advance through the ranks of The Resistance you'd actually become one of John's most trusted allies. However as you climb the ranks similarly to Terminator: Resistance you will also make your way up Skynet's list for termination. I'll be honest I don't really know how this game will end though; I've debated having ending where you John takes you to capture a T-800 and you die trying to capture "Uncle Bob" from T-2, I've considered an escort mission where you have to find and deliver Kyle Reese back to John so he can be sent back in time, and lastly just an overall happy ending where the war is over and the finally mission is the downfall of Skynet. However I'm still unsure. Maybe we could do a combination of all three where your decisions influence your ending similarly to the existing Terminator game. I still haven't decided that yet.

I hope you enjoyed this article. I have many different articles of various different topics, feel free to give them a view. And if you are so compelled to, tips are immensely appreciated but by no means obligatory. Thank you for your time today.
