Trouble brewing on DOOL

Days of Our Lives fans there is breaking news about turmoil on the set of your favorite soap now on Peacock. There are serious allegations about Albert Alarr the director and executive producer who is suspected of misconduct on the set for a number of years. Several female cast members like Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton) have left the former NBC soap and it is being projected that Alarr is to blame.

Is Alarr responsible for Alfonso's exit?

It is being reported that he uses crude language mistreated females on the set and has humiliated male cast members. Days of Our Lives fans know that Kristen Alfonso left her role as Hope Brady in 2020 after 37 years vowing never to return. These were strong words for a legacy character but both Deadline and TV Line quoted the actor as saying she would not go back. Please note that Lisa Rinna ( Billie Reed) has stated that things were disgusting on the set when she was on the first Beyond Salem and says she called out top execs including "Albert."

Alfonso mentions Alarr

Deadline quoted Alfonso as saying that Alarr and executive producer Ken Corday wanted her to be off camera for 4-5 months and later return to have a relationship with a navy seal. The actor admits she had been contemplating leaving the soap for a while but this was not the way it was supposed to happen.

“I was taken aback when he said that they wanted, he and [co-EP] Albert [Alarr] wanted to take me off camera for four to five months. It was not something that had ever been discussed but that’s what it was… I just thought, you know what, it’s time to really write a new chapter. I’ve had an incredible run there.”

There are no direct allegations against Albert Alarr at this time

Alfonso, however, did change her mind after saying "never again" and did return for Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem 2 which was produced by Corday and Randy Dugan. Alarr's name is nowhere on the second spinoff series so is this possibly why Alfonso signed on? Did she make a deal to return only if Alarr who was part of the first Beyond Salem was not involved? TV Line also quoted the actor as saying she would not be back "Not now-Not Ever" so some type of negotiations and concessions obviously were made.

No direct allegations have been made public against Alarr at this time and Kristen Alfonso has not accused him of anything. The actor acknowledging she was contemplating leaving Days of Our Lives for several years has fans wondering in light of Rinna's confession if Alarr is who made her so uncomfortable she left the soap. Why did she return to Beyond Salem but not actually in Salem on the DOOL set?

What comes next?

Did Corday make Kristian Alfonso an offer she could not refuse and promise to keep Albert Allar away from her? This is speculation and there may be nothing to this but fans of the soap should brace themselves. Now that Lisa Rinna has spoken out it may give more cast and former cast the courage to tell their truth.

Be on the lookout for spoilers and updates for Days of Our Lives as well as breaking news related and updates related to Alarr and even Alfonso. Something else fans are now wondering is why if the allegations are true did Ken Corday allow such a toxic environment for his cast. Hopefully answers will come sooner rather than later.
