Carly and Sasha

General Hospital viewers are wondering what will happen when the show resumes taping and new episodes return to the screen. According to Soap Dirt, CBS announced that The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful should be up and running by mid June. No date has been given yet regarding GH, and there are many loose ends on the ABC daytime drama that need to wrap up. Several of them revolve around Michael Corinthos and it looks like his world is about to change drastically. Nelle married Julian in an attempt to get sole custody of Wiley and this has irritated everyone involved in the court battle. Sam actually slapped her father in the face because he married Nelle.

When Traci Quartermaine returned home during the Christmas holiday she and Ned discussed pushing AJ's son out of his position in the family business. Last week Ned spoke to his mom on the phone and let her know of a new problem. Valentin Cassadine is buying up ELQ stock and is planning a takeover. but no one knows yet that he is the culprit. Between Ned, Traci, and Valentin, Michael could be out of his CEO position before he knows what hit him. He is so focused on gaining full custody of his son that he has no idea of the walls that are about to close in on him. The biggest deception of all will be when he finds out that his own mother kept silent when she found out what Sasha and Chase had done.

Carly is aware that Sasha and Chase lied about having an affair in order to force Michael into marrying Willow. She is enjoying this deception because it benefits her personal motives. Carly thinks Sasha is the best thing since sliced bread because she reminds her so much of herself. Carly admires the woman who loves her son and was willing to put her own happiness on the line. to protect Wiley. In the twisted mind of Mrs. Sonny Corinthos, Sasha is a keeper because she thought of a devious way to make Nelle pay for her crimes. This is right out of the playbook of Caroline Benson, who lied and schemed her way through Port Charles upon arrival. Carly stole Tony Jones away from her mother Bobby, then lied and manipulated AJ Quartermaine for years to keep his son Michael from him.

Michael is used to his mother manipulating him and trying to control his life but he may see this as going too far. There is always a chance that full custody will be granted to Michael and Willow, and they will fall in love. There is an equal possibility that they have to share custody of Wiley with Julian and Nelle. it's probably not likely Nelle will win sole custody of her son because of Julian's past. When Michael finds out what his former girlfriend and his mother did he may never speak to them again. He will also be shocked that his good friend Chase was in on the deception and probably will not appreciate how they all tricked him. Some General Hospital viewers believe Carly should come clean with Michael and let him know the sacrifice that Sasha made for him, but she will probably keep silent.

It's difficult for fans to keep up with what had been going on because each week the original episodes are further in the past. It takes about six weeks from the time a show is taped, before it shows up on the air. If General Hospital did resume production in mid June, it would be August before viewers saw anything new. Perhaps instead of the older classic episodes, the powers that be can begin letting fans see more recent episodes to keep the in the loop. The final week of reruns should coincide with the new episodes so that they run together and viewers can be in the loop more easily. Be on the lookout for updates as to when General Hospital will resume producing new episodes. Continue watching for spoilers to find out what will happen in advance.
