'Naked and Afraid' [Discovery]

Naked and Afraid has been a reality staple on Discovery Channel since its premiere back in 2013. The show is the perfect avenue for viewers to see what happens when one man and one woman are dropped in a remote location for 21 days with no provided food or water. The contestants are tasked to put their survival skills to the ultimate test to brave the elements and navigate through their location to extraction. Not only do they have to brave the elements, but they have to do it completely naked with no clothing - not even shoes!

A unique thing about this show full of survivalists is that each episode takes place in a different location. As the show has gone on, we've seen some repeat countries, but even then filming usually takes place in a different spot. From the mountains of the United States to the jungles of South America, this show has been all over the world and continues to expand into new locations. Fun fact: Naked and Afraid has filmed in all continents except for Antarctica.

'Naked and Afraid' [Discovery]

On the surface of Naked and Afraid, the premise sounds a bit silly. But despite that, fans have really attached to the show and they've even held "fan casting" episodes where non-survivalist super fans have competed in these locations. These super fans have included YouTube stars, Instagram stars, and even reality stars - like Maci McKinney from MTV's Teen Mom OG and Jonathan Short from MTV's Are You The One?. There has also been quite a number of "all star" contestants who have come back time after time again to brave new elements and see new locations.

One thing that makes filming in different locations exciting is seeing all of the different elements, wildlife, and conditions the contestants have to endure. At this point, it seems like Naked and Afraid contestants have seen it all from rain to snow, desert to jungle, islands to mountains, starving to plentiful food sources. Viewers and contestants have also seen their fair share of various wildlife including moose, bears, snakes, spiders, insects, crustaceans, alligators, porcupines, and more.

But with all of this talk about filming locations, where exactly has the show filmed? Let's take a look at the various locations around the world where the show has taken place! And don't forget, this list is no doubt going to continue to grow! It seems like with each season comes new locations.
