1. A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest

I am always a huge fan of vampire books especially when there is a love story thrown in there. However so far I am book 5 of this series and there are so many plot twists and the author really makes you feel a connection with each character. If you like supernatural books with a romantic touch this is a series you should definitely try.

2. The Selection Novellas Series by Kiera Cass

Everyone wants to escape our world at one point or another. This is a series that is set in a completely different world structure. It takes a mixture of the past and future to create the setting. To be honest I have only read the first three of these books which focuses on the same main character. However, I can not wait to read the others and have re-read the first three a few times now.

3. Sisterhood Series by Fern Michaels

This is a book series that you can never seem to get enough of. It has 33 books in this series and then also has a spin-off named "Men of the Sisterhood" which has 8 books. The Sisterhood Series focuses on women who have been wrong in a multitude of ways. The main character is strong and determined to get vengeance and payback in mysterious ways. In a lot of ways, the main characters portray the traits that we all wish we had.

4. The Crank Trilogy by Ellen Hopkins

This is a book series that I first came into contact with as a teenager. Although the books were well written and interesting I never made a connection with it. In the last year, I have gone ahead and re-read these books. They are so raw and blunt about problems that people all over the nation have experienced. Although I have never done crank, I know people who have and I have seen families be destroyed over a wide range of things. The Crank Series is only one of Ellen Hopkin's book series. Each of her books takes one different problems that people face and are not normally talked about. The stories are heartbreaking in a lot of ways but very real. If you are looking to escape from the world then these are not books for you. However, if you are looking for books that connect with you or a problem you are going through please check out some of her books.

5. Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth

I know that a majority of people have seen the movies relating to these books. However, I will be the first one to tell you that books are better. Through the first two books which are the first 2 1/2 movies, it stays very closely the same with major aspects. Although it leaves out some very important details. The last movie was nothing like the book. They turned it into some kind of futuristic world that was beyond the wall. That is nothing like how the book portrays it. If you enjoyed the movies, for the most part, this series is something you should check out.

6. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

A few years back, a movie was made for the first movie. Although it followed the storyline remarkably well, the budget for the movie was very little. Due to that, the movie came out extremely cheesy and the remaining books were never made into movies. The books themselves are a mixture of romance, supernatural, and fantasy with a kick of action thrown in there. It also has two very strong female leads thrown in. This series is one that I have read numerous time and enjoy every single time.
