The origin of The Breach is revealed, and Samuel's dark, bloody past along with it. But is it too late? Can The Breach be reversed? Or is this life the new normal for Vanessa, Dougie and Kai? With a group of inter-dimensional bounty hunters hot on their heels, this new life may very well be a short one.

Well I am very much enjoying this book. It is too bad the Sheriff didn’t join the group but then things wouldn’t have progressed so quickly as they did now would they? There is so much going on here and all these moving parts that are involved in some way really have this crazy effect upon one another. With what we learn here I have to wonder shouldn’t those chasing him have the same cause and effect that he claims he caused? I’m super vaguebooking it but that’s on purpose because I don’t wanna spoil anything for anyone. Also it is getting kind of late to tell Dougie about his folks and that conversation is only going to get harder and harder but I do like the new family unit that we see forming here.

So the way that this is being told is incredibly strong. The story & plot development that we see through how we see the sequence of events unfold as well as how the reader learns information is presented exceedingly well. The character development that we see through the dialogue, the character interaction as well as how we see them act and react to the situations and circumstances which they encounter really does a magnificent job keeping their personalities at the forefront. The pacing is excellent and as it takes us through the pages revealing the story and its twists & turns the more answers we want.

I for one greatly appreciate the way that we see this being structured and how the layers within the story continue to emerge, grow, evolve and strengthen. How the layers continue to open up new avenues to be explored and further explore those that have already been opened really do add this great depth, dimension and complexity to the story. How we see everything working together to create the story’s ebb & flow as well as how it moves the story forward is impeccably achieved.

The creativity and imagination that we see throughout the book is amazing and how we continue to see these species are magnificently rendered. The linework is nicely laid down and how we see the varying weights and techniques being utilised to create the detail within the work we see is extremely well rendered. The way that backgrounds are utilised throughout really enhance and expand the moments beautifully. They also work within the composition of the panels to bring out the depth perception, sense of scale and that overall sense of size and scope to the story. The utilisation of the page layouts and how we see the angles and perspective in the panels show a remarkably talented eye for storytelling. The various hues and tones within the colours being utilised to create the shading, highlights and shadow work shows an extraordinary eye for how colour works. Also the colours within these species and how we see the blue hues in the ones is just amazing.

Best Moment belongs to Dougie when he doesn’t know what to call em and uses a term he shouldn’t be repeating and it’s the best possible thing in the universe. It adds a moment of levity within the sheer terror being experienced. It is so well placed and it just boggles the mind to be able to have that moment amidst what else is happening.
