Adam tries to circumvent Michael and Rey on 'The Young and the Restless

Spoilers for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS indicate that Adam and Rey will soon be at odds with each other again and this time Michael Baldwin will be involved. The DA and the lead detective for the GCPD still believe that Victor set up Chelsea's confession and viewers know this is true. The duo will be planning on getting Ms. Lawson to admit to faking her mental breakdown but Adam wants to thwart their plans. He will argue that it's time to accept the judge's decision and leave well enough alone. Victor's son and Rey will have a heated discussion and disagree on the matter.

Adam feels bad that his actions have placed Chelsea in this predicament and he only wants things to get better for her. Rey and Michael however are looking at the evidence and realize that the situation stacked up too neatly regarding Chelsea's confession. Everything took place at Victor's ranch and he just happened to have a psychiatrist on hand who now is overseeing Chelsea's recovery in the mental health facility. Michael and Rey know that Ms. Lawson is guilty of poisoning the detective but they are certain that Victor orchestrated her confession and be sentenced to a rehab center instead of going to jail.

At one point Michael agreed that Chelsea did not need to go to jail and Sharon convinced Rey of the same thing. Now that some time has elapsed and they have been putting their heads together the two men want to continue investigating. Adam is very protective of the mother of his son and does not believes she needs to suffer anymore. Rey and Michael, however, want to make certain that they have all the facts in the situation and that they are not being scammed by the grifter.

Both men have been on the receiving end of the wrath of Victor Newman and do not desire to be in that position again. Even so, they do want to find out with certainty whether or not Chelsea is pretending to have had a mental breakdown or if she really needs help. When Michael and Rey do not back down this will infuriate Adam who will possibly call on his father to hekp him out. Victor likes nothing better than infuriating his children as well as those who are vexing them.

At this present time, the only thing Michael and Rey can do is to visit Chelsea and try to get her to talk. Adam is not going to like that and may even take steps to prevent the duo from harassing his wife. They should know that if Ms. Lawson made a deal with Victor then she is not going to back out of it because of her son. Chelsea does not desire to lose custody of Conner and is going to play the game and fulfill her role as things play out.

Spoilers don't give the details of what Adam, Rey, or Michael are actually going to do but the reformed Newman son will give his all to protecting the mother of his son and keeping the DA and PCPD detective away from her. Rey and Adam had a truce of sorts after Faith recovered and Shey reunited. Many fans as well as spoilers believe that at some point there will be a Shaddam reunion which would torment detective Rosales.

There is no telling what any of the 3 will pull out of their bag of tricks but there is one thing they need to remember. Chelsea is her own woman and going to do things her way as much as Victor allows her. She knows how not to crack and reveal anything to Michael or Rey and she also can handle herself with Adam. The Newman men are working together and putting up a united front and Adam is grateful for how his dad handled the situation regarding Rey's poisoning and keeping Chelsea out of jail.
