Aaron D Spears back on contract on The Bold and the Beautiful

Celebrating the Soaps has revealed that popular actor Aaron D Spears is back on contract once again on The Bold and the Beautiful. This talented fan favorite has been on and off contract so many times in recent years it will make your head spin. When asked about his status last year, Spears said it's not his show, so he works when asked. Fans had been wondering why he was brought back in 2019 only to not have a meaningful storyline. Brad Bell, the executive producer of The Bold and the Beautiful seems to have a problem keeping popular characters on the screen.

There were times when Brooke, Hope, and Steffy, all were out of town for months, then would show up again as mysteriously as they disappeared. Brooke was once said to be visiting her sister and Hope and Steffy were at times working for Forrester in Paris. Charlie and Pam have not been seen in a number of months and are not even mentioned anymore. Brad Bell also does not seem to be able to figure out what to do with Spears's character, Justin Barber other than have him hang around Dollar Bill Spencer's office. When Justin's niece Emma died because she was run off the road by Thomas, many fans thought that Dollar Bill and his sidekick would avenge her death.

Many B&B fans believed the duo would be gunning for Ridge Forrester's son but that storyline was dropped and Thomas got away with being responsible for Emma's death. Even when the pretty intern was on screen, she never spent any time with her uncle. Justin is a popular character and needs a life outside of the Spencer Publications office. I don't recall ever seeing his home, and he never has a love interest. I cannot recall any storyline specifically designed just for him in recent years. This is such a waste of talent and makes absolutely no sense at all.

Celebrating The Soaps did not say what storyline Spears will be involved in but only that he would be on contract. That did not mean much last time around so fans of the actor can only hope this time will be different. Justin needs to do more than the bidding of Bill Spencer or trying to keep him out of trouble. He should have storylines that do not even revolve around his boss. Brad Bell obviously is attempting to add some color to the CBS daytime drama because spoilers have announced that the Avants along with Zende will be returning by fall. Carter has been getting more air time and is trying to date Zoe but the adopted Forrester could put a stop to the romance.

Zende was last seen going to Paris with his wife Nicole, so if spoilers are saying he may fall for Zoe, then he must be separated or divorced. Once Maya is back on The Bold and the Beautiful, perhaps Justin might start a romance with her or he and Donna could get back together again. The main issue will be giving all of these characters storylines worthy of their talent. Carter has not dated anyone since Maya before she married Rick. He needs a real romance and not be vying with Zende for Zoe. Viewers can only hope that this time around these actors will be utilized, that contracts will be honored and fans get to see them on the screen.

The writers need to think long range regarding these characters and give them a future. Viewers know that the Logans, Spencers, and Forresters are the heart and soul of The Bold and the Beautiful, but fans are tired of the same love triangles. How many times will Brooke go back and forth between Bill and Ridge? How long will the love triangle with Steffy, Liam, and Hope continue? Yes these situations have worked in the past but it takes the entire cast to keep the show going strong.
