Although the title is "The Birth of a Superstar", in the end it became the "fallen" of a superstar, which is embarrassing.

(Bradley Cooper) was silent for a while, focusing on his directorial debut: (A Star Is Born). This music movie caused heated discussions when the trailer was released, and it is currently in a state of overwhelming reputation both at home and abroad. In addition to Bradley’s first self-directed and self-acting performance, one of the highlights of this film is to find (Lady Gaga) as the heroine. This film is also her debut on the big screen. The audience who loves music movies must have been looking forward to it for a long time, and even believe that this movie will be one of the best movies of this year. As expected, it is so awesome, so beautiful, and so touching!

Make a "good" music movie

Let us first talk about what are the requirements for a good music film? Generally speaking, I think there are three elements: beautiful original songs and soundtracks, real performance of actors, and storytelling. The first two of "A Star Is Born" did a great job, but the story is a bit a shame.

First of all, beautiful original songs and soundtracks, which are basically necessary and nothing to say; the performance part of the actors is very important. Usually, at least one or two real musicians will be found in music movies to perform with, and the rest are Actors who are not musicians are the focus. They will take time to train themselves, because both singing and instrumental playing have to be true, which is not only more true but also more sincere. Bradley Cooper also emphasizes the need to be true. , The audience will be moved; the last is the story structure.

Why did I put this item at the end? Basically, the completion of the first two is enough to constitute a good music movie. After all, the story of (The Greatest Showman) is more entertaining and popular, but its musicality and character charm still make it an excellent movie; and "A Star Is Born" is more biased towards the (La La Land) genre, taking the path of realistic and poignant beauty.

Acting and excellent then directing & singing and excellent acting

Then let us talk about the performance of the two major actors. Acting and directing, Bradley Cooper could not be more suitable to describe, because he was shortlisted for best actor Oscar, I don’t think anyone expected that his directing debut would have won a lot of glory, the whole movie is completely I can't see the lack of a novice director. As far as the first director is concerned, his performance is remarkable. The musical performance is also surprisingly excellent.

He originally had a handsome face, but this time he portrayed himself as a country rock singer. That vicissitudes of life is not something anyone can control. The singing voice that he has practiced hard can be matched with a guitar, and the beginning of the song The rock music immediately grabbed my heart. You must have never seen Bradley Cooper. It's so handsome, people can't help thinking that he is a real singer!

The goddess Kaka sang and You played it. I have to be honest, in this movie, Kaka's performance is even more eye-catching than Bradley! This is also one of the key points of Bradley's direction. He is more like an auxiliary Kaka role, in order to let everyone see Kaka different from the past.

As a singer, Kaka's professionalism in singing is already perfect. Every time she speaks, I feel goosebumps and shock. But I did not expect her acting skills to be even more impressive. It is not like a beginner. The person who chooses the leading role to act as the heroine, in the film, from an unknown amateur to a famous star, all kinds of inner dramas of self-doubt, frustration and pressure are well interpreted. This is by no means a performance alone. of. She is a singer both in and out of the play. She must have a great sympathy for the transition of the character's mood, especially for the emotions that came after she became famous. Most of the emotions must be empathetic. Only in this way can she have such sincere feelings. A moving performance is absolutely qualified to compete for Oscars!

(There are thunder below)

Finally, returning to the slightly regrettable part of the story mentioned earlier, when the four words "No longer in love" were written in the advertisement, it was revealed to some extent that "The Birth of a Superstar" should be a tragic love story, and the facts are also true. NS. I thought it would end like "Let’s Love You More", but I didn’t expect this film to be even more ruthless. The actor went directly on the road to suicide, accompanied by the last Kaka singing Bradley’s "l'" written to her. "ll Never Love Again" is the most affectionate confession and the final last word. In this scene full of sorrow and consternation, the last line of defense that caused many viewers to tears collapsed.

Ironically, although the title is "A Star Is Born", in the end it became the "fallen" of a superstar, which is embarrassing.

Cut in many ways but not deep enough

As for the pity point? The focus of this film is actually a bit more, including the self-identification, loneliness and anxiety, and loss of self faced by a star, but it also puts love and family relationship issues into it, and all these issues are closely related. The character of Ledley is not described deeply enough.

In the film, this character is a singer who loves alcohol and drugs, and is in a state of depression, but why? The film didn't give us a detailed answer, so we had to deliberate through some dialogues. Obviously, this has something to do with his past, including family relationships and even the pressure after becoming famous, but we can only play sideways.

It’s a pity not to have a more specific presentation, because it determines our empathy for this character. The final suicide is regrettable, but we can’t come up with powerful arguments to redeem him, even though it’s in our hearts All understand that this role must have a pitiful place.

Another pity is that there are not many specific emotional portrayals between the hero and the heroine in the film. Except for the more exchanges during the first half of the first half of the first half, what we see later is almost always based on the song and the song. A series of songs to understand their respective moods and emotions. It is undeniable that the songs are very beautiful and artistic, but they lack some emotional details in comparison. If you can add a bit more length and inking (a few scenes of the trailer have been cut, maybe you can expect the director's version in the future. Certainly), the recoil in the final ending must be more profound and timeless.

This is not to say that the ending is not handled well. In fact, it is difficult not to be moved by the song that Kaka sings into the soul. Again, she is definitely the biggest contributor to this movie.

Even so, it's still not concealed

The above is a small regret I think. Of course, this is not a concealment. "A Star Is Born" is still one of the best movies of this year. Even if there is no 100 points, there are 90 points: Bradley Cooper is not only a wonderful director, but Shang Kaka is even more discerning as the heroine, and successfully gave this movie an unexpected chemical effect. In addition to possibly establishing Bradley Cooper's directing position, it also allows Kaka to re-recognize her voice like her that day in a way that is different from the past, and the win-win situation it creates will surely become a classic in film history!
