Call them doppelgangers.

I noticed the first one and then like something out of a Sci-Fi movie, I couldn’t stop noticing the similarities. We can call them twins, look alikes, dopplegangers, any will suffice because there are a number of Nigerian celebrities who share an uncanny resemblance with American celebrities. Today I’m going to share with you 7 of these celebrity twins and let you decide if there’s truly a similarity between these two celebs, or if I’m chatting hogwash.

1. Melanie Fiona and Joy Nice (aka Pelumi)

Is it me or do these two women look like sisters? The night before, I’d been watching “Jenifa’s Diary” which is a wildly popular Nigerian comedy TV show. The morning after I watched a Melanie Fiona performance on YouTube, and when I tell you I shouted…SISTERS!

What do you think? Yay or Nay? Truth or Lie?

2. Tiwa Savage and Alfre Woodard

No, take a second look at it. Now really look at it again. Do you see it now? I was watching a Tiwa Savage music video and there were a couple of little shots I saw and went huh! She looks like Alfre Woodard! Alfre is a beautiful woman and if this is what Tiwa can expect to look like the more she grows, then she’s free to rest easy.

What do you think? Yay or Nay? Truth or Lie?

3. Ikechukwu and DMX

I won’t take credit for noticing this one on my own. This is one that I saw while browsing the Internet and before reading the caption on the picture, I fully thought it was a picture of the same person. These two look like actual brothers. TWINS!

What do you think? The only answer here is truth so if you’re not saying truth, then I don’t know what to tell you. Look at it!

4. Funke Akindele and Taraji P Henson

Another one that the Internet showed me. Funke Akindele popularly known as ‘Jenifa’ can pass as Taraji’s sister. Yes, not identical twins, but at least, fraternal.

Am I wrong?

5. Peter Okoye and Usher

Okay, if you’re a Nigerian reader then you remember when P-Square broke unto the scene and we all thought to ourselves: Usher has a twin?

For those who might not know, P-Square is a popular Nigerian musical duo who so happen to be twin brothers. Their public image and artistry especially at the beginning of their career was very akin to American singer, Usher. From the dance moves to the fashion choices to the way they looked.

If somebody told me that Usher was the long-lost brother of the P-Square boys, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second.

What do you think?

6. Ill Bliss and Notorious BIG

Nigerian rapper Ill Bliss once said that he was the Notorious BIG of Nigeria. Maybe musically, we can dispute that claim, but look-wise, the man is spot on! I mean take a look at the picture. Which one is Ill Bliss and which is Notorious BIG? Go on, take a guess.

I’m not wrong am I?

7. MI Abaga and Kendrick Lamar

Both are rappers. Both are wildly talented. And both look alike. Or am I wrong?

Nigerian rapper M.I and Kendrick Lamar could swap out in the middle of a concert and if both were wearing dark shades and the concert venue had dim lighting, I wouldn’t notice a difference. That’s how similar these two men look to me.

Do you agree with me? Do you notice it too?

***********************************************************************

So we’ve gone through 7 of these, which do you agree with me on? Let’s play a game. Tip $1 for every one you agree on. If that’s all 7 of them, then tip your boy $7, if it’s 2 you agree with, then tip $2. Of course you don’t have to do it, but it would be a pretty nice (and fun) thing to do + you’ll be truly helping me out quite a lot financially. College is hard, these articles and little fun write-ups are truly one of the things I love to do the most so anyway you could support that: by tipping, sharing, anything. That would be really so sweet.

Thank you for reading and as usual, have a wonderful rest of your day!

Oh btw, I also have other articles in case you want to keep the fun going. Check them out here.
