Victor Frankenstein

This 2015 science fiction fantasy horror film was produced with a modest budget of only $40 million.

Golden Globe nominee James McAvoy, Emmy Award nominee Charles Dance, and world-famous Daniel Radcliffe star in this film written by Max Landis, the screenwriter of the certified fresh 2012 science fiction action film Chronicle.

Director Paul McGuigan was nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special category back in 2012 for his hard work in the episode "A Scandal In Belgravia" for the television show "Sherlock"

"Sherlock" is currently one of the Top Rated TV Shows according to IMDB.

If you haven't seen this television show yet then you should check it out before the fifth season begins in 2018 or 2019.

Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch is too busy right now filming the most expensive film ever made with a massive budget of a billion dollars but he will come back to the television set as soon as possible.

In the mean time, try to watch at least one episode each week for the next couple of years.

You can stream this film right now if you are a Cinemax (NYSE: T) subscriber.

You can stream this film right now if you happen to live in Canada and you are a Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) subscriber.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

Two-time Academy Award winner and two-time Golden Globe winner Robert De Niro stars in this 1994 horror drama film directed by five-time Academy Award nominee Kenneth Branagh.

This film was made with a massive budget of $45 million, for a horror film; hoping to reach a more mainstream audience hiring a superstar like Robert De Niro and the executive producers were right and this film was a commercial success.

A younger Frank Darabont wrote the screenplay and a year later he was actually nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published for his hard work in the greatest film ever made according to IMDB.

The film "The Shawshank Redemption" is based on the novella by Stephen King "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" originally published in 1982 by Viking Press, a subsidiary of Pearson (NYSE: PSO).

If you like the film "The Shawshank Redemption" then you should visit your local public library and read the book Different Seasons. This book contains four novellas and you can simply skip the ones you are already familiar with and focus exclusively on the novella "The Breathing Method."

The other two novellas are Apt Pupil and Stand by me.

Remember, without The Godfather there is no The Walking Dead.

Five-time Academy Award winner Francis Ford Coppola currently has a net worth of more than $250 million and he gave Frank Darabont a chance back in 1994.

One day, in the near future, an older and wiser Frank Darabont, currently armed with three Academy Award nominations and a fortune of $15 million will take a chance on a younger generation of filmmakers like you or me and the cycle starts over forever and ever.

Work extremely hard and make at least $235 million for Frank Darabont or whoever is giving you an opportunity or die tryin'.

Robert De Niro currently plays the role of thief Bernard Madoff in the upcoming television film "The Wizard of lies"

If you don't have HBO now then get it before this television film is released. It's only $14.99 each month or about the same amount of cash you are spending each time you go to the movie theater including the cost of gasoline, diesel, natural gas, electricity or hydrogen.

Frankenstein's Army

This 2013 found-footage horror film was nominated for a Fright Meter Award in the Best Makeup category that same year and also for a Fangoria Chainsaw Awards in the Best Makeup/Creature FX category back in 2014.

You can stream this film right now if you are a Shudder subscriber.

Young Frankenstein

This is one of the 1001 movies you must see before you die according to Ian Haydn Smith and Steven Jay Schneider.

If you are young and you love movies and you are only going to buy one book this year then I strongly suggest you buy this book. Your life will improve in a lot of positive ways.

You can also download it to your Amazon Kindle and take it everywhere with you.

Cloris Leachman was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical category for her hard work in this film back in 1975.

Madeline Kahn was also nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture category for her superb performance in this film that same year.

Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks were nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Writing, Screenplay Adapted From Other Material category as well.

Young Frankenstein is still one of the highest-rated films ever made with a certified fresh rating of 93% on RT.

If you want to make a living as a comedian then you really need to learn from the masters and Mel Brooks is definitely one of the greatest ones.

I have sold a few jokes over the years and some of them have been shared almost 50,000 times over the interwebs. Here is one of them. If you think is funny then send me a check and I will write a new one for your blog or television show or film.

Mel Brooks was also nominated for an Academy Award for the song in Blazing Saddles and for The Producers screenplay.

Only 12 people in the entire world have won the Emmy, the Grammy, the Oscar and the Tony. Mel Brooks is one of them.

These people are called EGOTs.

Clearly, the man is a genius.

Gene Wilder was also nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role category for his work in the 1967 film "The Producers" also written and directed by Mel Brooks.

Stargate

Academy Award nominee Jaye Davidson, Three-time Golden Globe nominee James Spader, Golden Globe nominee Kurt Russell, and Emmy Award winner Viveca Lindfors star in this 1994 adventure science fiction produced for only $55 million.

The film was a commercial success with more than $196 million in worldwide sales.

Enough cash to launch a financially successful franchise for the next 17 years.

Television shows, cartoons, comic books, and even video games.

MGM filed for bankruptcy in 2010 and creditors Credit Suisse (NYSE: CS) and JPMorganChase (JPM) now own a large percentage of the company.

They have been selling assets for six years.

Nobody knows who is currently holding the rights to the original film.

NOTE TO BOB IGER: Time to open your wallet and buy MGM assuming they are still holding the rights to all the Stargate television shows and films. JJ Abrams can easily recover your investment without breaking a sweat and it's a lot cheaper than buying 49% of Viacom (NYSE: VIA) for $8 billion.

You can stream this film right now if you are an HBO (NYSE: T) subscriber.

You can stream this film right now if you happen to live in Denmark, Austria, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia or New Zealand and you are a Netflix subscriber.

Highlander

This 1986 epic adventure action fantasy film was made with a modest budget of $19 million and the original investors could never recover their capital. However, the film pushed Christopher Lambert into the stratosphere and the film now has a very large and loyal cult following.

The franchise has spawned three comic book trade paperbacks, four sequels, two television shows, one animated television show and two animated television films in the last three decades.

The franchise is still alive and kicking and Director Chad Stahelski will begin to work in the new film as soon as he finishes shooting John Wick 3 which is coming this 2020.

The Seventh Sign

Two-time Golden Globe nominee Demi Moore stars in this 1988 apocalyptic drama film.

After this film, Hungarian director Carl Schultz could not find another job as a director until the year 1999.

It is difficult to make money with apocalyptic films. Proceed with caution if somebody offers you a job in this type of film.

You can stream this film right now if you are a Starz (NYSE: LGF) subscriber.

You can stream this film right now if you happen to live in Ireland or the United Kingdom and you are a Netflix subscriber.

Self/Less

Academy Award winner Sir Ben Kingsley and Ryan Reynolds star in this 2015 science fiction thriller film produced with a modest budget of only $26 million.

You can stream this film right now if you are an HBO subscriber.

You can stream this film right now if you happen to live in Argentina, Canada, Brazil, Mexico or Colombia and you are a Netflix subscriber.

Mr. Nobody

Academy Award winner and Golden Globe winner Jared Leto and Academy Award nominee Sarah Polley star in this 2009 science fiction drama film made with a modest budget of $33 million Euros.

The film was very well received by the film critics all over the world and it was nominated for seven Magritte Awards, which are the Belgian equivalent of the Academy Awards.

The film eventually won six Magritte Awards back in 2011 including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Editing.

The director and Golden Globe nominee Jaco Van Dormael also produced, wrote and directed the 2015 fantasy dark comedy The Brand New Testament and eventually won four Magritte Awards back in 2016 including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script Best Original Score.

Clearly, this talented producer, writer, and director is too big for Belgium and two or three wealthy individuals currently residing in Los Angeles, Chicago or New York need to write him a $20 million check to make a critically-acclaimed film in the English language with well-known actors and actresses with Golden Globe nominations and perhaps with Emmy Awards already displayed on their bookshelves as well.

Jared Leto is too expensive and he cannot hire him again but maybe he can hire Academy Award nominee Tom Hardy, Golden Globe nominee John Turturro or Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award winner Jim Parsons.

You can stream this film right now if you happen to live in the United States of America, Canada, Belgium or Japan and you are a Netflix subscriber.

Demolition Man

Golden Globe winner and three-time Academy Award nominee Silvester Stallone and Academy Award winner and Golden Globe winner Sandra Bullock star in this 1993 science fiction action film directed by Italian Marco Brambilla in his directional debut.

If you are currently dying and there is no cure or medical treatment for you then you could rent one of those freezers located in Scottsdale and use it to store your own corpse a few minutes after you are dead to preserve your body and maybe in the distant future resurrect yourself from the death like that guy delivering pizzas in New York city in the year 1999.

The plot of this film was totally fictional back in 1993 but now we have the technology to keep your body preserved indefinitely.

I was always afraid my body would decompose during a blackout, but we now have electricity generators running on gas, batteries, Powerwalls, solar panels and wind farms.

You can stream this film right now if you are an HBO subscriber.

You can stream this film right now if you happen to live in Sweden, Finland, Denmark or Noway and you are a Netflix subscriber.

Technology is moving forward very quickly and maybe one day in the distant future your mind will be downloaded to your descendants' Sony PlayStation and you will become some sort of tamagotchi, which brings me to my next point.

Chappie

At the end of the day, the brain is only a hard drive and your thoughts are simply electrical signals traveling from one part of your brain to another part of your brain.

We are now building machines capable of reading our thoughts and eventually we will somehow download an entire human brain into a hard drive.

You can now buy a 60 TB Seagate (NASDAQ: STX) hard drive for as little as $40,000 and one day in the distant future you may get a Lenovo (OTC Pink: LNVGY) 600 EB hard drive for as little as $4

I don't know exactly how much space we need to store everything on your brain but I am guessing it's a lot of data.

The scientist currently working at Seagate is building bigger hard drives each year so that part of the equation is already solved.

We can connect a bunch of hard drives together if we need to store more than 60 TB.

We just need to discover a way to read your brain and somehow store the data on a hard drive.

Needless to say, a lot of people all over the world are working on that part of the equation as we speak.

The hardest part is to make sense of all the data already stored on the hard drives.

For now, we simply download all the information you currently have stored from your brain into a hard drive and we store it safely in a warehouse for a few centuries until a more technologically advanced civilization can develop the software required to decrypt your thoughts.

Chappie was a financially successful film with more than $102 million in global ticket sales and it is likely Sony (NYSE: SNE) will decide to make another one in 2024 or earlier with a smaller budget of $40 million or less.

South African Director Neill Blomkamp was nominated for an Academy Award and for a Golden Globe back in 2010.

Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential individuals in the entire world back in 2010.

You can stream this film right now if you are a Showtime (NYSE: CBS) subscriber.

You can acquire this film right now for as little as $3.25 in Amazon if you cannot afford to pay $8.99 each month.

If you don't have a relative or friend currently living in the United States of America then let me know and you can ship it to my house and I will reship it to your country via the USPS without the case. Blu-Ray Discs are indestructible anyway and they cannot scratch them.
