There has been a bit of a dry spell for Netflix and movies recently, but it looks like they are ready to make up for it because September has some great movies! Some are coming to Netflix for the first time and some are coming back for a second run. Either way, there is something for everyone this September on Netflix. Here are 10 recommendations (of some of the many new movies) coming to Netflix this September.

1. 'It' (2017)

"In the summer of 1989, a group of bullied kids band together to destroy a shape-shifting monster, which disguises itself as a clown and preys on the children of Derry, their small Maine town."—IMDb

It will be released on Netflix on September 1.

2. 'Dirty Dancing' (1987)

"Spending the summer at a Catskills resort with her family, Frances 'Baby' Houseman falls in love with the camp's dance instructor, Johnny Castle."—IMDb

Dirty Dancing will be released on Netflix on September 1.

3. 'Scarface' (1983)

"In Miami in 1980, a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug cartel and succumbs to greed."—IMDb

Scarface will be released on Netflix on September 4.

4. 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' (2017)

"When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, the Kingsman's journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the United States. These two elite secret organizations must band together to defeat a common enemy."—IMDb

Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released on Netflix on September 1.

5. 'The Dark Tower' (2017)

"The last Gunslinger: Roland Deschain, has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O'Dim, also known as the Man in Black, and determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower that holds the universe together. With the fate of the world at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle, as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black."—IMDb

Keep in mind that this movie has terrible reviews both from the general public and from critics. The critics' consensus from Rotten Tomatoes was simply, "There are other Stephen King adaptations than these."

The Dark Tower will be released on Netflix on September 1.

6. 'Pitch Perfect' (2012)

"Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition."—IMDb

Pitch Perfect will be released on Netflix on September 4.

7. 'Pitch Perfect 2' (2015)

"After a humiliating command performance at The Kennedy Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform."—IMDb

Pitch Perfect 2 will be released on Netflix on September 4.

8. 'Atomic Blonde' (2017)

"An undercover MI6 agent is sent to Berlin during the Cold War to investigate the murder of a fellow agent and recover a missing list of double agents"—IMDb

Atomic Blonde will be released on Netflix on September 24.

9. 'Edge of Darkness' (2010)

"As homicide detective Thomas Craven investigates the death of his activist daughter, he uncovers not only her secret life, but a corporate cover-up and government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence."—IMDb

Edge of Darkness will be released on Netflix on September 15.

10. 'Nerve' (2016)

"A high school senior finds herself immersed in an online game of truth or dare, where her every move starts to become manipulated by an anonymous community of watchers."—IMDb

Nerve will be released on Netflix on September 29.

Something wrong?

Is there something on the list that's not on Netflix? This list is meant for Netflix Canada... so if you aren't using Netflix Canada, this list may not be accurate. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
