Getting Started In Empires & Allies

Hey guys Curseius here so today I'm going to discuss getting started in empires & allies a mobile game made by Zynga Games this is going to be a short description of the game and what your early goal should be and in the future ill write another story here to basically expand upon that.

Getting started

So the game opens up with a quick battle showing you basically how the combat in the game works essentially its a top-down strategy session where you deploy troops and use command powers to take down the enemy base

after that you will be taken to your LEVEL 1 base this is your starter base where you build new defense buildings place defensive troops and upgrade your resource production and storage and where you build Tarmacs to train troops and you will have a research center building to research and upgrade your troops as well

What to do

after you are introduced to your base you will be shown to the world map now this is a campaign-style map where basically you are liberating the globe from the AI but this is a decent place to get resources from bases that will be around your power level if you cannot handle the games quick match feature,

after you start gathering resources from quick matches and from the world map you will need to upgrade your buildings now there are many many ways that players think this should be done.

Alliances

make sure you join an alliance and stay active in them if you are a part of an alliance war (save alliance wars for another story) then participate in those and get resources from them having an alliance will allow you to request resources from alliance members and friends on your list and get bonus resources from the "alliance building" structure in your base

Upgrade Priorities

Now players are split 50/50 on how you should upgrade your base ill tell you both ways here,

The Slow efficient way:

the slow way to upgrade is that you will upgrade ALL DEFENSIVE AND RESOURCE STRUCTURES and perform ALL RESEARCHES BEFORE you upgrade your headquarters to the next level this ensures that everything will be an easy 1 level upgrade so you can more quickly upgrade your base to the next HQ level

Rushing

to rush your base upgrades you will ignore upgrading all defensive structures and ONLY upgrade your Resource storages Your research center and HQ and make sure that you perform all researches while you are upgrading the others and basically you do this until you hit the current maximum HQ level then after that you upgrade all the other buildings in your base

Pros and cons of these methods

Pros of rushing: you get to maximum HQ level a lot faster

Cons: your base is much more vulnerable to being raided by other players

Pro's of the efficient method: your base is less prone to raids

Cons: This method takes months longer to get to the maximum HQ level

Omega Units

Eventually, you will be given Allowed to recruit the omega unit from the robotics facility building this is an extremely powerful unit that breaks the balance of the current game and allows for easier farming of other players and the world map

the colossus

The Viper

The Gator

The mantis/Talon

The Spartan

The Games NORMAL units

You start the game off with Rangers (infantry) and Strikers and Tanks as your main units in the game you will move on to air units like the Drone and apache there are support units like the CnC vehicle that strengthens your units powers

overall though take it from me you will likely just be using Strikers and Rangers for a large majority of the game seeing as the rest is pretty much the only other viable unit is the Drone (air) because they have huge numbers that are hard to deal with

Command Powers

the game has command powers you use in battle that get more expensive to use as you use them in each battle and the cost of which resets after each battle as a summation some abilities do lots of AOE (area of effect) damage and direct damage to singular buildings nad abilities that support and heal your units

Summation

If you are doing the slow method of building up your base make sure you make your first Goal to Hit about HQ 20 where you can get access to the Nuke

if you are rushing the goal is to get to the maximum HQ level as fast as possible
