Death's Door, an isometric action RPG created by Acid Nerve and published in print by Devolver Digital, is now available. Since its first announcement, this game has captured my interest. It was finally time to give it a try and find out if it is worth the effort. You can read this review if you're interested in Death's Door. Here's my Death's Door review for PC.

THEME OF DEATH

Death's Door is a very eccentric title in which you will play the role of a silent crow who works in a company dedicated to collecting souls. Your goal will initially be to obtain a giant soul. This is the spirit of an animal that has lived longer than it should. This will change when a mysterious thief takes it from under you nose.

Because of this unexpected event, Devolver Digital's title will force you to enter a hostile land where beings with extremely powerful souls reign supreme. It's very fascinating to see the beginning of Death's Door. The story will keep you engaged as you go along your journey. It is fascinating to explore the bizarre world of this game. They also added a variety of unique characters to the game.

It is amazing to see how the developers described these insane NPCs. These NPCs will be forever etched in your mind. The title, which speaks about the delicate topic of death, is something I really appreciated. Acid Nerve did a great job with this topic. They also maintained a lighthearted and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the entire adventure.

BATTLE IMPROVEMENT

Death's Door's combat system is very simple. It is possible to attack and dodge as well as execute charged shots, just like other action RPGs. You will also be able to use a variety of ranged spells, which you'll unlock as part of your adventure. You will need MP to cast the spells. However, it is easy to recover MP by simply hitting enemies with your melee weapon.

This mana recovery system really works. It motivates players to attack from both close and far in encounters. Devolver Digital's title is also notable for its unique healing system. You will need to plant seeds in vases distributed throughout the levels. This will allow you to restore your character's life points.

These seeds were hidden throughout the game world. These seeds are rare. This is why the game forces you to place them in strategic places to avoid over-consuming. Despite being based on very simple mechanics, the fights in Acid Nerve's title will become more and more fun and challenging as you progress in the adventure.

You will be facing powerful enemies in the latter stages of the game. The game will require you to use all the weapons in your crow's arsenal to defeat them. You can also find many boss fights in Death's Door that will test your abilities.

However, you don't have to be a skilled player to win the game. You can also increase the stats of the protagonist. Exploring and killing enemies can give you expendable souls that will increase your strength, dexterity and speed. In addition, by exploring, you can also find new and more powerful melee weapons. This will make it easier to win even the most difficult battles.

SOLVING MYSTERIES

In its structure, Death's Door is very reminiscent of the first chapters of The Legend of Zelda. There are several large areas that you can explore, with many enemies to defeat, and puzzles to solve. In fact, many puzzles will prevent you from reaching your main goal.

Furthermore, you can't solve all puzzles right away. Some will need to use specific magical abilities that are only available at certain points of the game. The level design of all areas in Devolver Digital's title is excellent. There are many secondary roads and complex paths. Death's Door actually contains many hidden treasures that will make your gaming experience even more enjoyable.

Explore the world to find weapons, seeds and upgrades. You can also accumulate large amounts of souls and crystals that increase your max HP and MP. There are quite a few collectibles. These are beautiful objects that can provide additional information about the game's world and characters.

Acid Nerve's devs kept these secrets very secret, but it was still a lot fun to uncover. This will not be true every time. You will need to take some unexpected actions in order to solve the most difficult puzzles. The lack of clarity can slow down completists in certain sections of the game and cause frustration.

CONCLUSION

There is not much to be said about Death's Door's technical section. Acid Nerve optimized this title and it runs smoothly at 60 frames per second even on mid-range computers. The software is extremely stable. During my testing sessions, I did not encounter any notable crashes or bugs. Despite my best efforts, Death's Door has managed to take me hostage thanks to a remarkable artistic sector.

The title by Devolver Digital is simple, almost fairytale-like in its presentation. It manages to capture every detail of the game's magical world. You will encounter many different and breathtaking scenes as you travel on your adventure. The game's excellent soundtrack will keep you entertained!
