NBA 2K23 brings us the best basketball game experience with many different game modes. In this game, there are modes like MyCareer, MyTeam, and MyNBA. Among them, MyNBA and all its previous names represent the best franchise mode experience in the world of sports video games.

In the last few years, this mode has become a bit outdated as there is no new content in MyNBA. The addition of the Eras concept and some feature improvements have brought MyNBA back to our attention.

Before we get into NBA 2K23 we should get to know MyNBA a little bit. Here we will introduce you to 8 details of MyNBA.

Eras offer the ultimate time machine

The Eras concept is set to be one of the greatest franchise model concepts we've ever seen.

With the Eras feature in NBA 2K23, we can experience multiple eras of the franchise mode. You can create your team in these eras and rewrite the history of the game. If you don't want to go back that far, you can choose the Michael Jordan era and start your experience from 1991. You can also choose to start from the Kobe era in 2002.

Start Today Feature Will Return

The Start Today feature will also return when the 2022-23 season begins, allowing players to join any active NBA team mid-season.

You can edit draft careers and rosters within the Eras feature

2K will not have players who have been on the roster every season from 1983 to the present. However, as has been the case with MyNBA in the past, users will have full control to edit player rosters and draft courses.

For example, players could create and add players like Rasheed Wallace who had not played in previous years in the 1995 draft. We can also add fictional players, or simply use historical lineups to match NBA drafts over the years.

Players don't get old

While in reality players will age and retire, in the game they will not experience visual changes from year to year. The same player model will be used throughout a player's career.

Reviews and displays will change as your MyNBA evolves

One of the best features of this mode is the era-specific commentary and presentation. Mike Fratello comments on games from 1983 to 2002. Kevin Haren and Clark Kellogg will also join Fratello. 2002 will see Greg Anthony take over Fratello. once 2021 arrives, the current 2K commentary setup will kick in.

The presentation package will also be specific to that era, with on-screen filters reflecting that era, as well as overlays and scoring errors consistent with that era. 2K even gets logos and branding from the era represented, as well as an accurate arena from the past.

League rules, expansions, and relocations are all included in the history

Any NBA rule changes that have occurred from 1983 to the present occur in MyNBA. These rules will be added to the game based on reality. The same is true for expansion team additions and franchise relocations. Users will have the ability to veto any of these historic changes, including relocations, expansions, and league rules.

MyNBA's injury problem has improved

The injury system has also been improved in NBA 2K23. If you've played MyNBA in the last 5 years, you know that injuries hardly ever happen in the game, and almost only happen in simulated games. Now that has changed and you will get injured in-game.

In NBA 2K23, injuries will occur in games at a realistic rate, and set the following factors to determine injuries:

  • Injury history
  • Wear and tear over a season
  • Background bumps and tweaks that mean in-game injuries should be consistent with the type of contact or fall that occurs in the game.
  • Player development fixes

There were some bugs in the player progression system in NBA 2K21 and 22. Young stars usually don't develop to the next level, and there are other immersion spoilers. This issue has been fixed before the release of NBA 2K23.

MyNBA Online Stability Has Been Massively Improved

MyNBA has undergone an in-depth examination to find bugs and legacy issues, and to fix ongoing server issues.

For the 2K producers, these issues and lack of stability have been addressed. Let's hope everything is as advertised and discussed. If so, the franchise mode's banner year will continue with the strongest iteration of MyNBA.

By now you should have a good understanding of MyNBA, so are you ready to get into NBA 2K23? If you want to get an edge at the start of the game, then you can buy MT NBA 2K23 at U4GM.
