Paid to fix a problem with something that can't fix it

Did you know that Myopia will be labeled a pandemic in the year 2050? That's because the growing phenomena of short sightedness, blurriness, eye strain etc is becoming so rampant, that more than 50% of the world will be growing blind.

What used to be an ailment of the aged is horrendously super prevalent from as early as infant stages.

People! Can we not see (no pun intended) that something is wrong here?!

There are a handful of thousands of people who have reversed Myopia (like myself). But it baffles me that more people aren't even questioning their need or their loved one's need for glasses. It absolutely breaks my heart to see 3, 4, 5 year olds wearing goggles.

You just got here, for Pete's sake!

You should be able to see the world unaided. You shouldn't have to plaster on plastic and glass over your eyes to create an illusion of sight.

So here we are, slowly becoming blind and what do we do? We pay for fancy frames and take pics of ourselves until we can see those pics no more.

O.K. Enough of the rant.

Here's why Glasses is a facade.

When your eyes started to give 'problems' do you remember what you were doing that led to those issues?

Let me help you out. Cause most likely you were studying, reading, watching tv, phones and laptops, in fluoroscent lit rooms for 6 to 8 hours a day and you hardly looked at the trees and mountains and sky until one day you noticed (when you finally did look at the distance)...that it was blurry.

Your eyes are adaptive to WHATEVER you give them. This is why eyes experience issues but this is why we can fix those issues without aid. Sadly, this is also why your eyes can get worse WITH aid.

The first, simplest thing you need to do if you experience blurriness or eye strain is rest. This often is our first mistake. I remember that evening in 11th grade when I took my seat at the back of the class, looked up, and couldn't see the board no matter how much I blinked.

Now pause here.

This moment was after weeks of late night studies and early morning projects after years of unhealthy habits. My eyes were slowly adjusting to negative stimulus.

One day, that day, it got stuck in that strained, tired position.

But did I rest? No. I had exams and reports and studies to get done. There's no time for that.

So I got glasses.

Because glasses are the quick fix to keep us going. And it does. All the way to actual vision loss.

My friend your first action is to rest when you have blurry, strained vision. Sleep it off. Believe me. You will see marked improvement no matter how long you've been wearing glasses.

Step Two is to go outdoors for at least 3 hours a day. Remember your eyes are adaptive. If you give it positive stimulus long enough, it WILL respond. Look at things in the distance and blink..blink ....blink...the same way you stare at movies or your work for HOURS on end, begin to spend equal if not more amounts of time looking into the distance. Your eyes will adjust!

Step Three is don't wear your glasses as much as possible. It is a negative stimulus. Imagine breaking a leg, doing the therapy to regain use but then still using a crutch after it has healed...Make it make sense!

Glasses are crutches. It's the same thing (except your eyes aren't broken). They don't allow your eyes to even TRY to heal. Your tired, strained eye muscles get weaker and weaker and you keep getting stronger and stronger prescriptions.

If EVERYONE or at least 70% of the people wearing glasses figure out THEY DON'T NEED THEM, the entire industry would flop. That's why they don't say anything. That's why they silently take your money and give you what MOST of them learned will not cure, solve or truly help the situation.

Glasses cause you to develop lens induced myopia. Google it.

But the point is ...it's all reversible.

This is how reversible it is. If you go cold turkey without glasses..let's say over a weekend at home, where you don't have to drive or read or study. Take this challenge. Stay away from all screens and spend the day outside..walking and/or looking around. Accept the blur, baby. Don't squint about it. Relax.

Print an Eye chart or if there is a sign several feet away that you can use to gauge progress, then great!

After 3 days (and nights), notice if you can see that sign or the first letter of the chart clearer from the point of blur. (That's the distance at which you just start to see blurry).

You need to use a sign or chart because other objects don't give a crisp, clear image.

Will you be 20/20? Nope. But there will be subtle changes: Less headaches, less blurriness, less eye strain.

Allow yourself to have more positive eye stimulus than negative and your eyes will adapt positively. Guaranteed.
