Have you heard of any folklore stories relating to disappearances? Well, there are many…way too many.

I have recently been interested in a number of particular investigations regarding some of these happenings and they are all unbelievable. People walking happily together and then suddenly one disappears, out of thin air. A missing person randomly is located so far away from the center of the search party that it cannot be explained.

But before getting into some of these cases, I would like to explain why this term is starting to get recognized and famous.

Missing 411 is a growing phenomenon that denotes the disappearance of a person, it's a documentation that has the following criteria.

  1. The area in which this situation happened was on a national park, large reservoir, or any other public land.
  2. There are odd and weird circumstances surrounding this disappearing which add to the mystery.
  3. There are no hints of mental illness or of wanting to disappear in non of these cases.

Many people love to go hiking, to go camping….to go on an adventure, but how can they be more careful if some strange occurrences happen and are still unknown to the public?

There is a well-known author who has been categorizing and trying to unveil all the specifics of some of these cases, but who is he?

David Paulides is a former police officer who worked in the force for almost 20 years. He worked in the San José Police Department, the SWAT team in the patrol division, in the Street Crimenit, and as a detective. In conclusion, all of these years have accumulated to have a vast and all-arounder experience.

He was told of the puzzling outlines and questionable nature surrounding some disappearings and then it all started. He started to dig in, he investigated and saw that some highly equipped and proficient outdoorsmen and women…vanished even on popular trails.

Paulides has dedicated over a decade of his life documenting these cases, he never has given a possible scenario to what happened, so the mystery prevails.

Hundreds of people go missing every year, but a few disappear under strange circumstances. This caught the attention of Paulites, who saw many overlapping similarities in these cases.

Even if these cases happen in various places, with different contexts, there is always a certain consistency surrounding all of them.

Would you believe in these Missing 411 investigations or are you still skeptical?

Like I’ve mentioned before, I have recently got an interest in the term Missing 411. I would also like to share some of these cases in the following weeks and I hope that it's of your liking. I am going to portray them in a story format so it can aid in the creations of vivid scenes and enhance the lecture.

What interests me the most is that one can't explain some aspects of each happening, you just can’t. I will share some of the most interesting and unbelievable ones of these compilations.

There are many movies, documentaries, and videos surrounding this theme but I would love to share some of its mysteries in the written format. If you would like to follow along with some of the investigations, I share the following Youtube channel.

Canam Missing Project is a channel where David Paulites and a vast group of professionals, share their investigations. Police officers, rescue experts, and many more professionals want to clarify the issues behind these cases. One of their main goals is to extend the importance of having proper documentation and proper further investigations; to grow public consciousness. And as in the channel portrays:

There are too many of these cases to ignore.

The cases that can be seen on Youtube are located all around North America, so this also leads to the question, how many more are there?
