The Courageous Jewish Man Who Escaped Auschwitz to save Thousands
Walter Rosenberg, who later became known as Rudolf Vrba, was a teenager who survived Auschwitz. The young man not only survived but was also instrumental in saving the lives of thousands of other Jewish people.

Once upon a time, if you asked Siri on your Apple phone, "What does zero divided by zero equal?", it would say. "If you have zero cookies and you want to give them to zero friends, how many can each one get? You see, this question doesn't make any sense, right? The sugar cookie monster will be sad because there are no cookies to eat, and you will be sad because you don't have a single friend."

When most people plan their travel on a cruise ship, the one thing they might not think about is someone dying there. It is estimated that at least 200 people per year die on cruises. However, that number could be much higher. A cruise ship worker on Reddit claimed to see at least three deaths a month.

Little of his life is known prior to his entry into the Prussian Army, other than his parents … (Pssssst. This isn’t really a biography about some old dead guy who had a handlebar moustache and fought with the Prussians and whose son, Karl von Koreck, helped recruit Hessian mercenaries to fight in the American Revolutionary War. It’s just that you can’t be too careful these days and they, well, even they don’t pay too much attention to 18th Century military biographies, especially if I throw in a few appropriate words like “Hapsburg” and “Bismarck” and “bloody skirmish” to throw off the auto-review programming.) … Helmut and Anna, were minor members of the aristocracy of one of the many smaller German city-states assimilated into Prussia at the height of growth of that empire. (They, like most intelligent entities, also pay little attention to material contained within parentheses, since such asides are by definition not within the main thrust of the communication being made. This defect in their approach makes parentheses the most valuable weapon in the fight against them. This fact has also made the close parentheses mark the most frequently used, visible sign of the committed resistance. Many, however, scared of even such a trivial sign of revolutionary fervor, disguise its use with a colon and space preceding. : )

Alien Abduction.
Reading about UFO sightings can be amusing and sometimes enthralling, but the subject of alien abduction is decidedly unnerving. Many abductees report the sudden appearance of alien figures in their homes. They just materialize by the bedside or in the kitchen, night or day, and transport the victim, against their will, to some form of extra-terrestrial craft.

Whew, chile**, this new Meg album, Traumazine*, is one that I was NOT expecting, but I am so glad I listened. This album is the volcanic-field-slapping paradise of my dreams, and from someone who’s never been a big fan of modern hip-hop, I can say that I was converted after listening to this record.
