Today's Lesson Is The Valet
After the Butler and the Housekeeper, the Valet and the Lady’s Maid were the two most senior “domestic servants” in the Victorian and Edwardian Eras. They had the ‘ear’ of their Master and Mistress which gave them some influence with the Lord and Lady of the House. This was either a good thing or a bad thing with the other staff within the household. The valet answered only to his master but still worked closely with the butler.

There is a reason why we give at Christmas Everyone knows that Christmas is the season of giving but some may not understand or even care why gifts are bestowed in December. I have heard celebrities say they enjoy exchanging gifts but do not care for the religious connotation of the holiday. Well laugh out loud, the reason gifts are given during the holiday season derived from the Christian origins of the most wonderful time of the year.

How can I tell that a person likes you?
1. A person's subconscious behavior shows that whether he loves you depends not on what he says, but on the details of his behavior. Many people will say a lot of sweet words. Once implemented, they will find that they are just like foam, drifting away with the wind. Only those subtle feelings can accurately detect his true feelings for you. It is in such details that I am more sure that I have not married the wrong person. A person's love for you is often shown subconsciously. The more unintentional, the more trustworthy.

When all else fails improvise
Culture shock I grew up in a county where very few people had indoor plumbing but for 35 years after I moved every house I lived in and every home I visited had the metal or wooden apparatus nailed into the wall that held a roller where you put your toilet paper on. Imagine my surprise when my family moved to an older house that did not have a place for toilet paper. My daughter told me about the free standing bathroom toilet paper holders that you can purchase that are not attached to the wall. This was the first time I ever heard of or saw one.
