People often have imaginary conversations when they practise talking through a difficult situation. Yes, it is common for people to have conversations with others in their heads. It is often a way to process and evaluate past conversations, prepare for upcoming conversations, or It can also be a sign of anxiety, loneliness, or stress. This tendency frequently starts in childhood and can quickly become automatic. The disorder that makes someone talk to themselves is called schizophrenia.
