We Bet You Have Never Seen This Footage From Star Wars The Clone Wars With Boba Fett and Cad Bane

This is Epic

As we approach the end of The Book of Boba Fett fans are scouring the internet for every last piece of Boba Fett to try and see where the series may be working towards in the finale. This has led to the internet unearthing a lost scene from an unfinished storyline from The Clone Wars in 2014 before it was cancelled and resurrected on Netflix would have shown Cad Bane taking the son of his friend and fellow bounty hunter Jango Fett under his wing which would have led to a stand-off between fans’ two favourites Cad Bane and Boba Fett.

The clip, crudely animated ahead of the geniuses at Lucasfilm to get their hands on it, brings us a clash of the titans in the bounty hunting world. Boba in his younger years is trying to bargain with Cad in order to stop some kind of anarachy brought to the planet they are on. Cad appears to have the upper hand with the capture of Hondo Ohnaka and his droid, no doubt following an attempted double cross in the hopes of making money and Boba surrounded by fellow bounty hunter names Bossk and Embo. Without knowing the rest, Boba appears to give Bossk and Embo a simple nod to which they back off and Cad decides he is better to deal with this problem on his own. The short clip ends with Cad and Boba firing at each other where Boba’s helmet gets its now infamous dent but the fate of Cad is left in the balance.

In the Clone Wars, Boba doesn’t have much of an arc only being featured in three episodes at the end of Season 2 into Season 3 but as recently at 2017, Filoni and the rest of the team from the first run of The Clone Wars which finished in 2015 would have Cad taking Boba as an apprentice trying to make their mark in the world with Boba killing Cad and over-taking him as THE bounty hunter in the galaxy. If this story arc was to be followed, it would explain why Boba was so highly sought out by the Empire as a go to bounty as seen in his appearance in Empire Strike Back. Cad Bane was the Sith’s guy in The Clone Wars with his constant work with Count Dooku and Darth Sidious so it would stand to reason that if you take out the best, you get all his work. It would also explain why we have probably not seen much of Cad Bane in the films or in the TV series because he was killed off.

However, if you watched last year’s Bad Batch, Cad Bane arrives to try and capture the rogue clone Omega. But eagle eyed viewers appear to note that Cad has a new addition to his look including a metal plate on his head with as we have come to see in Book of Boba Fett no one has an issue running to your local cyborg drop in clinic and getting some new upgrades to your body which could include a new skull so it appears to make this previously unaired scene canon within the Star Wars universe. The scene was recreated to the delight of viewers of The Bad Batch in a scene between Cad and the leader of the Bad Batch Hunter but with Cad’s not succumbing to the same implied fate in the clip seen above, it now opens the door to his return to the animated universe and potentially another showdown with Boba Fett. But now that the appetite is there for this showdown Filoni and the rest of the Bad Batch crew have a chance to bring us an epic show down which could rival the meeting of Asoka and Maul in season 7 of Clone Wars or Ezra and Thrawn in Rebels.
