Ultracrepidarian Creation.

It all happened long before Time, as we humans invented and measured it, had begun.

In a place perhaps so near or so far away that no living human being, in a century or more of travel at the speed of thought, could ever approach its Infinite boundaries.

He stood in the workshop and thought for a moment. "Now, what if I were to make some more of this stuff? Hmmm, not too much - it should be very rare - after all, how much Ytterbium will be needed - but I'll need to make plenty more of these essential gases and minerals..."

Atoms of every conceivable nature lay scattered on the workbench. Solid, liquid and gas, both light and heavy, in numbers and volumes that were inconceivable.

Within each atom, its component protons, neutrons and neutrinos clung together fiercely, kept in place by the frenetic orbiting of their electrons. Some with a positive force, others negative.

It would take an incredible amount of explosive energy to separate or split some of them. Much, much later...

As the atoms and their electrons swirled around on the bench, some of them became attracted to others by a power beyond their understanding. They bonded and their electrons danced with joy as new entities called "molecules" were formed. Some of these were very simple, while others were incredibly complex and formed large clumps, or long chains.

There were even some particles that were smaller than the atoms - perhaps containing infinitely smaller universes within them - that would be revealed to humankind when the time was right. Perhaps.

He smiled, knowing that careful thought put into the construction of the elements and how each would interact with another, was going to plan. The second stage was ready to be put into action.

All the innumerable atoms, electrons and elements were summoned together. He held them in the cupped palm of His hand. Their energy was tangible and a bright glow of the most extraordinary intensity and colours began to radiate from the now excited whirling mass.

He raised his cupped hand to His mouth and gave a gentle puff. The mass started drifting away, growing in speed and size and light intensity. At the predestined moment, He raised His right arm, pointing His index finger at the mass, now an almost invisible bright dot, and gave

The Command.

Time and Light, as we humans now try to understand them, began with the mightiest explosion never to be recorded. Created by an intangible Cosmic Force infinitely more powerful than the explosion itself.

To the sceptic, cynic, scientist or casual observer (though none of them existed at that time or place), this momentous event and its consequences, may have appeared as a mere random phenomenon. Not one of them could have been further from the truth or could possibly have even understood.

In accordance with the Master Plan, each single atom had a designated place and purpose. Each of them flew there at speeds unimaginable, to fulfil their predetermined destiny.

They formed galaxies with swirling clouds of gas and magnificent large blazing suns, or stars, exuding phenomenal amounts of light and energy, around which other masses - to be called planets and moons - orbited. A mysterious force had kept them all at a predetermined distance. Consider the gravity of that concept.

Between the innumerable galaxies, once again as ordained, were virtually immeasurable distances and a deep dark boundless and unending void known as Space. No edges or boundaries. At all. Take as much time as you need to think about it. An infinite amount.

No human being, from the most stellar astrophysicist to the most common man, may ever truly grasp the concept of Infinity or even concede that it may exist.

There was one particular Galaxy and Sun in which He had a special interest. The third Planet from one particular Sun would be a vital part of a unique design and long term plan, which would change this Planet, the system in which it lay, Galaxy and perhaps the Universe forever.

After a suitable cooling off period, this Planet, similar to countless others, was then scrutinised more closely. Good. It had placed neither too close nor too far away from the Sun around which it and other experimental planets spun and orbited. It glowed like a bright blue gem on closer approach. A unique balance of liquids and solids and gases. Around it, a small satellite Moon orbited, to help control the ebb and flow of the liquids.

Thoughts that had long swirled through His mind could be brought into reality here. There was a concept to create matter and energy which was alive, rather than just inert. Able to reproduce, grow and develop in a symbiotic relationship. Now - where to start?

Experimentation with imagination. Firstly, make a variety of creatures within the waters. They swam, they splashed, some hid in the depths, others nearer the warmer surface. Some had shells around their bodies for protection, others built vast cities by themselves in coral reefs. Plants also grew in profusion. There was a survival hierarchy established.

On solid land, vast tracts of vegetation were caused grow. Trees, grasses, flowers of varieties never before imagined. Sustained by the Sun, rain from clouds of water vapour and by the rich minerals embedded in the soils. Differing species adapted to differing climatic regions, both hotter and colder, wetter and drier. They each had their specific purpose.

Other life forms were an interesting challenge. Some would have limited spans of existence, later to be confined to fossildom. Others would continue to prosper and multiply, despite there also being a hierarchy created for them, in order to survive. The omnivorous, the carnivorous, also the vegetarian grazing animals. All had their reasons to live and their purposes.

Should there be another life form to hold stewardship over the land, the creatures of the sea and land and of the air? Over all that had been created? The answer seemed obvious - but who could be entrusted for such a task? Only someone in the likeness of He who had created all these many things. The Supreme Power, the Supreme Ego. Make it so - thus it came to pass.

Later, He would need to come and see and experience the results of His experimental creations.

Maybe, He later thought, He could send His Son.
