Star Wars is a science fiction franchise set in a universe far far away.
Which ‘Star Wars’ Disney+ Show Are Fans Looking Forward To The Most In 2022?
That is the question. 2022 is looking to be an amazing year for Star Wars with such shows like Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and of course The Mandalorian Season 3. Kicking it all off will be The Book of Boba Fett, which will debut on Disney+ later this month on December 29th with the remaining six episodes coming out beginning of next year. There will also be two animated shows coming out in 2022 as well, namely The Bad Batch Season 2 along with another LEGO Star Wars Special, some of which is becoming a yearly tradition now. That is six Star Wars shows that we know for next year. There is always that chance that there might be additional announcements in the near future. We'll just have to wait and see. We may find out more during Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim in May 2022.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismThe 5 Best ‘Star Wars’ Games
Star Wars video games, be it on PC, console, or mobile platforms, have cemented themselves into fans' enjoyment of the galaxy far, far away, regardless of their generation. While more recent smash hit releases such as Battlefront II and Jedi: Fallen Order has taken over by storm, the momentum of Star Wars games seems to have reduced with slow releases, project delays, and EA-paywall controversies. However, the Star Wars gaming universe appears to be picking up steam with the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the out-of-the-blue announcement of Star Wars Eclipse. It is, therefore, high time to take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of the best and most popular Star Wars games ever released.

“You cannot escape your destiny." This is what Obi-Wan Kenobi says to Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi when he tells him that he must confront his father again. The idea of "destiny" has always been interesting in Star Wars. In a few cases, a person's destiny is presented as being concrete and unchangeable, such as with the prophecy of the Chosen One and how Anakin Skywalker still manages to destroy the Sith despite falling to the dark side. But in other cases, destiny is merely a construct put upon someone they can alter, such as with Kylo Ren killing Snoke in The Last Jedi despite Snoke envisioning him killing Rey. But in “Akakiri”, the final short in the anime anthology series Star Wars: Visions, "destiny" is presented as a self-inflicted curse.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismTheory: Ben Solo Didn't Really Die At The End Of Rise Of Skywalker
One of the most controversial characters in the Star Wars universe, it seems that you either love or hate Kylo Ren – redeemed in the last movie and now known by his given name – Ben Solo. Those who love the character were left heartbroken when he died at the end of Rise of Skywalker – but is he really dead?
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismDarth Vader Could Have Found Luke Much Sooner If He Took Palpatine's Advice
Spoiler warning for Star Wars: Darth Vader #20 (2017) ahead. What was preventing Darth Vader from finding his son, especially since Luke was raised on his homeworld of Tatooine? That’s a question some of you might have had, though you likely just wrote it off as him just not looking because he thought he was dead. Others were likely to conclude that Darth Vader simply never had the opportunity to look for him, even if he wanted to, as he was busy being the Emperor’s enforcer. Others still just probably ignored the question entirely.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismNew Report States That Rogue Squadron Still in Development
Roughly a year ago, Disney had one of their investor call presentations, and in it, they announced a slew of new Star Wars projects heading to screens big and small. However, since then, there have been more than a few doubts cast upon some of those projects. For example, it is unclear if the Rangers of the New Republic series will make it to the screens due to the firing of Gina Carano, the actress who played Cara Dune in The Mandalorian, who was expected to lead the series. Recently, another project was thrown into uncertainty. The Star Wars: Rogue Squadron film, directed by Patty Jenkins, was revealed to no longer be entering production in 2022 as originally planned. This caused some fans to doubt if it would make its December 2023 release date or if it would be canceled entirely. However, it seems the latter had been debunked.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismOpinion: A Reflection Upon George Lucas and the Prequels
I’ve always believed the Prequels have the core of a great story – the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker. Anakin Skywalker is intended to be a tragic figure – much like Michael Corleone from The Godfather: a man who wanted to do good, only for power to corrupt him. As he becomes this toweringly malevolent presence, the only ember of humanity that remains is the regret that haunts him.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismDid You Know Vader Once Learned From Someone Far More Insidious Than Palpatine?
In the early years of the Empire when Darth Vader has finally hunted down and slain all remaining Jedi, the newly self-appointed Emperor allows his apprentice to settle down on a planet of his choosing. Darth Vader chooses the lava covered planet of Mustafar and it is there where he meets the ancient Sith Lord Darth Momin. In Darth Vader (2017) #22 by Charles Soule, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Daniele Orlandini, and David Curiel it shows the two Sith forming an unlikely alliance to craft a door to open the dark side Force Locus. The same place where Darth Vader bled his kyber crystal. But as dark and evil as Darth Vader is he will find Darth Momin to be even darker and more twisted than anything he’s seen before.

September of 2014 was a new and exciting time for Star Wars fans. Disney had purchased Lucasfilm two years before. Star Wars Episode VII (the title hadn’t been announced yet) was in post-production. Star Wars comics were three months away from returning to Marvel. Sadly, the top-rated animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars was canceled. However, shorts of the new animated series Star Wars Rebels were airing in anticipation of its premiere in October 2014. And the first new Star Wars canon novel, Star Wars: A New Dawn, was released on September 2, 2014. The snowball was just forming.

Most people can remember the first time they watched a Star Wars movie. I would imagine that these are childhood memories like mine in many cases. I was eight years old when I first saw Star Wars, and I was addicted from the get-go. I had the toys and the comics, and everything revolved around Star Wars.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismOpinion: Why Kenobi Will Be The ‘Last Jedi’ Of The Disney+ Series
Obi-Wan Kenobi... Obi-Wan Kenobi … That’s a name that fans haven’t heard in a long time, a long time, especially when the person about to play Obi-Wan Kenobi will be none other than Ewan McGregor. This has been something that fans have been dying to see for years, ever since the end of Revenge of the Sith. A movie or show set in the post-Episode III world, before Episode IV has been something fans have been clamoring for, for years.

Breaking news from the galaxy far, far, away; Or in this case, the good folks down at Lucasfilm who are making stories set in that galaxy, for it seems that more progress is happening with one of their many productions, with The Acolyte having an eye on its lead role. According to Variety, that role will belong to actress Amandla Stenberg, known for roles in The Hate U Give and The Hunger Games. If all plays out, she would be an amazing addition to the Star Wars universe and possibly the first woman of color to have a starring role in a Star Wars property.
