Why Obi-Wan And Vader’s Encounter In The Upcoming 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Series Is Already George Lucas Canon
Since the release of Revenge of the Sith in 2005, I have been proclaiming that the upcoming encounter of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader was actually set up by George Lucas himself, as evidenced by dialogue in Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, and Return of the Jedi. It is essentially already implied G-level canon. Follow me here. It is completely logical, and not even a theory. It is plain as day once you look at the dialogue presented in Lucas’ saga films.

The political and social structure of the Mandalorians is complex. Karen Traviss spent several novels carving out the hierarchy and relation of the different clans and houses, as well as the dos and don’ts of being a Mandalorian. Most of this got thrown out of the window when George Lucas and Dave Filoni decided to present a more peaceful Mandalore in The Clone Wars with only a small faction called the Death Watch still clinging to the ancient warrior ways. Both The Clone Wars and Rebels presented the Mandalorians as a deeply shattered society with constantly shifting alliances, torn between isolation and the urge to play a bigger role in the galaxy.

A mad clown once asked, “You want to know how I got these scars?” He gave a few contradictory stories, but the core meaning was the same; his scars had a story, even if he was just making it up, or misremembering. This mad clown was of course, the Joker, specifically the Dark Knight incarnation. Of course, with the many versions of the Joker out there, you never know what you’re going to get, but it tends to be somewhere on the scales of funny and evil.

It is rumored that Spider-Man director, Jon Watts, will be joining Star Wars. Jon Watts is reportedly scheduled to direct at least one of the episodes of a new Disney+ Star Wars series. The episode appears to be one of the episodes for the new High Republic series. The working title for the show is "Grammar Rodeo" with Jon Favreau as an executive producer. The High Republic series is set to start filming in the summer of 2022 in Los Angeles. The rumors about the new project have finally surfaced. However, it will not be a Simpsons/Star Wars crossover, as the working title implies, but something the fanbase might like even more, about the High Republic era.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismDoes 'Star Wars' Benefit From Having A Single Creative Vision?
Star Wars fans tend to have strong opinions on what the best and worst Star Wars films are. There also appears to be a distaste for whatever the most recent Star Wars trilogy is. Everyone tends to agree the original trilogy are the best Star Wars films, but opinions on the following films seem to vary by generation. When I was younger, everyone seemed to hate the prequel trilogy, and now everyone seems to hate the sequel trilogy. People often blame George Lucas for the negative things about the prequel trilogy and Kathleen Kennedy gets a lot of hate for the sequel trilogy.

With Book of Boba Fett, we rather unexpectedly got a glimpse into what the Mandalorian, Din Djarin, has been up to since he handed off care and training of Grogu to Luke Skywalker at the end of Season 2 of The Mandalorian. To do a quick recap, Din was excommunicated from his Covert due to having removed his helmet twice during the events of Season 2, which he was ultimately forced to admit. He got a new ship, a restored Naboo N-1 Starfighter, to replace his destroyed Razorcrest. And, most importantly, Grogu decided against continuing his Jedi training with Luke and took the beskar chainmail armor Din had left for him and returned to Din on Tatooine. On Tatooine, Grogu helped save the day by putting a Rancor to sleep, before flying off into space again with Din. With these things established, here are some things we want to see happen in Mandalorian Season 3.

Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismWhy The Imperials In 'Star Wars' Didn't Respect Or Fear Darth Vader As Much As They Should Have
We have all recognized Darth Vader’s magnificence in the Star Wars universe. He is the Emperor’s apprentice, a Sith Lord, a powerful Force user, a military leader, and, simply, a badass. However, when we first meet him in A New Hope, he is curiously placed in their hierarchy. He seems to be Grand Moff Tarkin’s lackey and regarded indifferently by the Empire’s officers. There is that iconic scene in A New Hope where Vader informs the fleet brass that they will soon recover the lost Death Star plans. Admiral Motti suggests using the Death Star as an example of the Empire’s power, at which point Vader rebukes him about putting too much faith in technology, and suggests it pales in comparison to the power of the Force.

Spoilers ahead for Book of Boba Fett The Marshal of the Mos Pelgo Territories, Cobb Vanth, made a surprise return in The Book of Boba Fett. Even after giving up "his" armor, the Marshal proved he was not someone you want as an enemy, after easily dispatching a group of trespassing Pyke soldiers. Vanth, aptly portrayed by Timothy Olyphant, was last seen recuperating from his duel with Cad Bane, healing within the comfort of Boba's bacta tank, and seemingly set to undergo some life-saving cybernetic enhancements.

Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismCould Palpatine Or His Cult Be The Next Villain(s) To Go After Grogu?
The last two episodes of The Book of Boba Fett saw the surprising but most welcomed return of Grogu, showcasing his Jedi training under Luke Skywalker and his heart-warming return to Din Djarin's arms as his Mandalorian foundling. Apart from delving into Grogu's story in the prequel era in which he witnessed fellow Jedi being massacred during Order 66, fans also witnessed his exponential growth in the Force, such as in calming Boba Fett's Rancor in order to protect Din towards the end of the series finale. However, such exemplary displays of Force powers also beg a sinister question: has the rise of Grogu's powers and connection with the Force attracted none other than Emperor Palpatine?
