Dancing with the Fairies
Fairies, also known euphemistically in literature as “wee folk,” “people of peace,” “good folk,” “fairy folk,” “fay” or “fae,” are described as magical gossamer forms of spirit. Fairies are included in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. Fairies and other “little people” also figure prominently in the ancient folklore, mythologies, and legends of Germany, China, Russia, Japan, Egypt, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and Britain.

Animality: Prologue & Chapter 1
The average male lion weighs between 350-400 pounds & grows up to nine feet long, three feet in height. Like us, lions have thirty teeth. Wild lions have a life span of twelve years, but in captivity can live up to twenty years. His maximum speed is thirty miles per hour over fifty yards. Lions have less bone mass than other animals of comparable size. Lions are able to move quietly due to the soft pads on their paws. They are even able to pinpoint the location a particular sound originated from. A typical Lion's Pride could consist of three males & possibly ten females. Though the females are the renowned hunters of the Pride, the King usually eats first. Usually, lions won't attack as long as you're facing them, just better hope they're not hungry.

Brotherhood
“Why is the sun always so bright?” I thought as I walked home from school. The heat I can handle, but the way it always seems to shine upon my face blinding me can be annoying at times. I’ve always preferred the night when everything is quiet and dark. No bright sun, no loud people, nothing that comes with the everyday living of the day.

Yan And The Wanderer
They called me Yan. A name given as nothing more than a form of distinction from the rest of us young ones. Such markers of identity were beaten out of a person from birth. It latched onto me like a thorn, refusing to be expunged. It may not even have been my first name, if one was ever given, the significance of such things lost in the shadows. Yan is who I was and Yan is what it would remain. I was taller than most of the others around my age, but not by much. Could you single me out for that one trait? Possibly. Would you attempt to? It wouldn’t be wise to. I received empty looks whenever anyone inclined their head up. Singularity had become a redundancy over time and we were left with the remnants of a world that had forgotten what progress was.

A Lunch Meeting With Death
Death was late again for lunch. Or, it had already happened for him. Skipping as he did along time like it was an elastic band stretching and contracting to his amused will. He laughed at the linear chains, the straight lines, the inability to flow backwards, and the constant of decomposition.

Eternally Immortal
In the forest, its dark, hardly anything can be seen, there's something dark lurking, but I cannot tell what. My white dress flows in the moon's pale light dancing across my skin, almost making me glow, as I try and feel what is sneaking through the trees.
