Colony of the Horizontal Tree (Chapter One)
Colony Colcolson happened to be reading The Exhaustive Catalogue of Tiny Kingdoms when the girl (Melanie Gellar) first wrapped his wrist in hair (he only realized this coincidence years later after Melanie Gellar [according to the (fake) public record] was dead and wished he’d held on to that book for so many different reasons). The action of hair wrapping was absentminded on her part, but in this simple act, Colony got a flash of the many ecstasies of open firmament and pure light of heaven, warming him from the inside. He saw the true structure of all of existence, all of the shimmering tendrils weaving in and out of everything and warming all the living with single-being interconnectedness like a cross-dimensional cuddle pile. He saw the blue sky fractaling into eleven other skies (at minimum) and all the other worlds beyond and all the gods of all these worlds.

The Game
"Hello?" I called, looking into the darkness. There was no light or sound. "Is someone there?" I called out again. I had no memory of how I had gotten here or where I was. I went to take a step forward, hoping that maybe I could find a way out of here when the ground there disappeared. Splashing noises echoed around me as I caught myself from falling into the knee deep water.

Extra Bright
Greta Stromach prayed one night for heaven to save her and dreamt of these bright white tendrils descending from the sky like jellyfish tentacles, or what jellyfish tentacles would be like if jellyfish were some amalgamation of Jesus and grandmothers with purelight tendrils, they wrapped her and lifted her to heaven, but the dream ended before she got there.

Best Cryptozoology Documentaries
Cryptozoology is the study of animals that allegedly exist—but currently have no physical proof of it quite yet. It's a fascinating field where people will actually sit down and investigate claims of Bigfoot sightings, the veracity of mermaids being spotted in Asia, and more.

Alex The Inventor-Chapter 16
Read Chapters 1 - 15 at: Deep Sky Stories Chapter 16 - Luss Power and Big Ben's Last Rumble Big Ben rumbled up to the scene of the battle just in time as Dart and Jade were forced to fly lower, with wings unfolded, and battle on as best they could. They flitted and dodged about, firing madly as their Bubble-Shields glowed dangerously from multiple hits. A swarm of the cat-sized Flies soon surrounded Ben but he continued on despite taking several stinging hits from their Shock-Bolt Guns.Within seconds, the huge, lumbering robot became the target for a hail of tiny missiles and jolting high-voltage assaults. Huddled inside the tiny driver's compartment, Alex and Rainah cringed as each projectile clanged and rattled off old Ben's shuddering iron body.

Journey Of The Hearts: An LGBTQ Story
There is a heavy downpour of rain falling over a huge city landscape with occasional claps of thunder. In a building owned by a software company, a young man named Kjiro is sitting at his computer screen with a look of tiredness, boredom and sadness on his face typing on his keyboard. He reaches for the mouse beside the keyboard once he finishes typing “OK, here goes.” Kjiro says to himself before hitting the left click button on his mouse causing a program on his computer to run a series of code. After a few seconds, the program stops and the word error appears in all capitals in a text box. Kjiro moans in response and rests his head on the surface of his computer desk “Why can’t I get this?” he says to himself in a sad tone.

Rewatching... Doctor Who: The Evil Of The Daleks - Part 4
Saturday 10 June 1967 So this episode is all about Jamie's 'test'. He's unaware he's being tested by the Daleks and last week's episode ended as he was confronted by a Turkish wrestler called Kemel. Now as you may know, I'm unable to see the video in many of these episodes, instead having to follow the soundtrack, with a glimpse of an occasional frame. Usually, this works ok and it's fairly easy to follow what's going on. This week it's a little more 'visual' than usual however and it starts with a rather protracted fight between Jamie and Kemel. And to make matters even more 'entertaining', Kemel is mute. I'm not a big fan of fight scenes at the best of times, finding them rather dull even when there are pictures, so as you can imagine I'm struggling a bit with this.
