Guilty Pleasure: Top 5 Anime Villains
Let me set the stage for you. August 13, 1998 - I was 12, and Cartoon Network aired the first ever episode of Anime that I had seen. It was called Dragon Ball Z. I became obsessed. I tried to teach myself the Kamehameha and wanted desperately to go Kaio-Ken against the jerk kids on my street.... But alas that never happened, yet my eyes had been opened to the wonderful world of anime. I was already enthralled with american comics at the time, and was shocked to learn that Japan had basically the same thing in form of a graphic novel, which is where my Dragon Ball Z came from. I ate it all up. I remember going to the library and basically checking out the entire graphic novel section and sitting in my room reading through every page.

You've Never Seen Futurama Like This
If there's anything I'm a sucker for, it's glorious fanart of beloved geek entertainment, and today's internet dig did not disappoint. It's been a while since Futurama has been on the online radar (or TV for that matter), but one look at this and the nostalgia hit me like a freight train... or maybe a well-rendered 3D starship.

Is Goku Being Set up to One Day Become a God of Destruction Based on Recent ‘Dragon Ball Super’ Chapters?
Ever since Goku achieved god form in the first arc of Dragon Ball Super, his power has increased exponentially; however, it was never clear how much of the divine he has been able to take on. Is he now capable of obliterating entire planets with a single thought? Is he omniscient? Is he now more powerful than any Kai in existence? On par with most Gods of Destruction? What can he do as a god, exactly? Which part of him is divine? Is he now capable of doing things only a real god can do? Or is he just stronger than your regular strong guy? Not a god at all, just similar to a god?

Will an Invincible Frieza Become the New Villain of ‘Dragon Ball Super’?
We saw it happen before: a cruel, bloodthirsty tyrant with a twisted understanding of right and wrong gets ahold of the Super Dragon Balls and wishes himself immortal. The other version of him switches bodies with Son Goku and eliminates the real Kakarot, along with several of his loved ones. Both entities then proceed to obliterate every human being on the face of the universe, gods and extraterrestrials included.

Universe 7 Plans to Resurrect at Least One Fallen Universe With the Super Dragon Balls
Several hundred episodes ago, Goku proposed the idea of a universe-wide tournament to the King of All, and he agreed — with a price. In exchange for the opportunity to battle more powerful fighters, all participating universes would have to risk total annihilation: the losers will be erased from existence, while the winner will be saved and granted one wish. Since then, Gohan's reverted to his Ultimate form, Android 17 was revealed to be alive and good, and Goku unexpectedly recruited Frieza. The show finally introduced female Saiyans (and later Super Saiyans!) as well, in the form of Caulifla and Kale from Universe 6. The meeker Kale is Broly’s equivalent from Champa’s universe.

Divine’s the Limit: Goku Temporarily Surpasses Most Gods of Destruction With Newest Form
Previously dubbed “Limit Breaker,” or the ultimate Saiyan form, “Ultra Instinct” is the latest of Goku’s many transformations. The form has been much-anticipated by fans since episode descriptions were leaked, and relentlessly teased by Toei since the first promotional artwork was released. Fans speculated on the nature of this new form: is it another Super Saiyan transformation? Is it achievable through training or anger? Or both? The answer, it seems, is neither.

Well, wonder no further, because someone just turned our most unusual fantasy into the most epic anime opening ever.

This ‘Fairly Odd Parents’ Parody is the American Version of ‘Death Note’ You Didn’t Ask For (But Actually Needed)
Already seen the much-reviled Netflix adaptation of Death Note? Still reeling from how awful it was, cringing from how far removed the output is from the source material? Do you perhaps feel like writing your own name in a death note, to save yourself the frustration of continuing to live in a world where such movies thrive and exist? Are you looking for something to wash your mind clean of the fake Kira you just saw, the fake Light Yagami that had little to do with the true god of the new world?

A Lovable Menace: Why Goku Is Easily The Most Unreliable Hero In The 'Dragon Ball' Universe
#SonGoku is the #shounen genre's version of Usagi Tsukino — a classic figure in modern-day storytelling, representing an archetype that appeals most to the flawed, human everyman in all of us. And like the common man, despite being much-revered as a hero, #Goku — as a person — is far from perfect.
