Raising Common Sense

In a world that has lost it's ever loving mind, two forces come together to save the planet...the spirits of the most intelligent person and the wisest person who ever lived are alive again in a very odd couple.

The year is 2142 and there is a couple trying to cope with a life that has lost all sense of fair play and calling people of the world "stupid" would be considered a compliment by our standards today.

Comparing any period to the one we live in today as "more stupid" is a leap that doesn't require a single step in any direction, yet, where we can all see that reality can clearly be stranger than fiction it's undeniable to anyone with half a brain.

Our couple, names are Ehchu and Notchi find themselves arguing over who ate the last potato and as they argue in the foreground, the camera clearly shows their dog is eating the last potato in the background.

Their arguments included, "We agreed we would share the last potato yesterday but then today got here and nobody ate the last potato yesterday, so, how could we share it then?" in response "I wanted you to have the last potato for tomorrow, so, you must have eaten it today because it's gone now" and finally "If the potato was planned for yesterday how could either of us eat it today?". They agreed, there must have never been a potato and they headed to the store to go buy one.

On the way to the store, a sudden storm rolled in and the thunder shook their car and the lightening blew the hood off of it. They swerved and drove off the cliff and into the ocean waves crashing below. Two spirits who were passing through spotted the incident, looked at each other, shrugged and said "Let's do this". The two spirits flew under the water and picked up the car and got into the passengers.

"Oh no, what have we done?"

"Too late now, here we are."

"What were we thinking?"

"I think we were heading to the store."

"No. That was them. What were we thinking?"

"Oh me oh my oh, we need to rewire these brains. I keep having flash images of a yellow talking sponge going through this head."

"Well, we're here now and I see they, er, uh, I mean we were going to the store for...what?"

"A potato or potatoes"

"POTAYTO POTAHTO...We need nourishment."

"woo-hoo and wee-ha! Let's go go go!"

So they went on where our couple left off. The most noticable difference was they almost never disagreed and when they did, it was less of an argument or debate. Instead, it was more of a "what's best for this planet" type of conversation. They both agreed that the common sense here was in great need of elevating the collective intelligence and wisdom. The new spirited couple saw the planet as their child and common sense was what needed to be most nurtured.

After stocking up on fruits and vegetables, they each began doing dramatically different things yet they worked together with a single purpose. Ehchu began gathering all the electronics and computers in the house and Notchi began decorating a very zen looking space with candles and pillows.

Ehchu said to Notchi... looked at each other and they nodded and began doing 2 very different things. Ehchu said "hacking their broadcast network now" and Notchi said "elevating the spiritual vibration of the people and animals to better receive".

Around the world, TVs, computers, cell phones, radio and broadcast signals began transmitting a low pitch sound barely detectable by the human ear and a pulsating frequency was transforming toxic "bad news" that is stories that were being fed to the people full of fear, uncertainty and doubt to messages of hope, inspiration and wellbeing. Ehchu was at computer typing out computer code at a speed beyond explanation. He was coding as if he was one with the computer.

Notchi was sitting with crossed legs with index fingers to thumbs resting on her knees as she began chanting in song and it appeared that she was sitting just above the pillows on the air itself.

They were sitting back to back and a rainbow of light arched between them as they both showed a level of focus and determination on their faces with the most calm and blissful expressions of happiness you can image.

The next morning, they woke up to read the papers, watch some news and they would talk about who they would be focusing on today. Each day, they would pick a person, a couple or some club, click or group of any kind to focus on and to learn about.

Despite their combined best efforts, every day, things just got more stupid. The thing about trying to fix stupid is that when you try to elevate stupid itself, it will drag you down to it's level and beat you with experience.

Our good hearted and best intentioned duo just won't give up as they embark on another hilarious day of serious work to be done that inevitably shows the couple in shambles at the end of each day. They always get a good nights sleep because they always land on their pillows in utter exhaustion from working so hard at trying to fix stupid or at least elevate common sense by any measurable amount.
