Who was Nostradamus?

What do his prophecies have in store for us for 2022, which has already begun?

Was he a wise man or a madman?

Astrologers, numerologists, and tarot readers risk their forecasts.

These days, their presence is multiplying from books, specialized websites, or the TV screen.

But if we are talking about a “serious” seer, about someone who for almost 500 years marked the course of history prophecies, we are talking about him, about Nostradamus.

The French apothecary, physician, philosopher, mathematician, alchemist, and astrologer of the 16th century, Nostradamus, has become, over the years, one of the essential soothsayers in history; thanks to the many fulfilled prognostications he written in his book “ Les Prophéties,” published in 1555.

Among the successful prophecies is the assassination of John F. Kennedy, 9/11, the two world wars, Trump’s defeat in the U.S. elections, and the coronavirus pandemic. For this reason, he has a large number of followers.

However, Nostradamus’ predictions are usually broad and generic; even as he relies on astrological aspects, he does not give clues about the exact dates on which the events he envisions will occur.

That is why it is essential to resort to his interpreters to have a more specific idea of what he proposes.

These are his prophecies for 2022.

  • The death of a political leader will occur.
  • “The sudden death of the first personage, he will be changed and placed another in his kingdom,” says the quatrain.

For the seer’s exegetes, this signals the physical disappearance of an essential member of the international political community.

For some, it could come from Kim Jong-Un, the boss of North Korea; for others, Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain; eventually, others advance that it speaks of Joe Biden, the current president of the United States.

    • Dramatic effects of climate change: aggressive natural phenomena will occur.

“Like the sun, the heat will seal the shining sea, the living fish of the Black Sea will almost boil.”

In this regard, Nostradamus visualized a solar storm of unprecedented dimensions, the melting of the poles, and rising sea levels.

He also predicted earthquakes, floods, and significant droughts.

    • Famine and inflation.

“Honey will cost a lot more than wax for candles, so high will be the price of wheat.”

According to the site History.co.uk, after these two years of pandemic and political changes worldwide, Nostradamus 2022 will be marked by a new and robust global economic crisis.

    • The fall of the European Union will occur.

“Sacred temples of Roman times will reject the foundations of their foundation.”

Those who dedicated themselves to interpreting the writings of the Frenchman assure us that this quatrain speaks of the European Union and anticipates its destruction, something that could have begun with Brexit and ended this year with the break-up of this community of nations.

    • A city will be get besieged.

“Around the Great City will lodge soldiers in fields and suburbs.”

Interpreters of the great astrologer contend that this verse suggests the real possibility that a major European city will suffer a blockade by a rival nation.

The two candidates would be London and Paris, and the reason could be terrorist activity or the COVID-19 pandemic.

    • Has the time of cryptocurrencies arrived?

    The concept of cryptocurrencies could never have crossed the mind of a medieval physician and astrologer, but Nostradamus did go so far as to say in his horoscope that “copies of gold and silver inflated;

After the robbery, they got thrown lake; it discovered that all is finished and wasted by debt; all notes and bonds will be wiped out.”

With such a view on the post-pandemic economy, saving in cryptocurrencies seems even less far-fetched considering the bubbles in that market.

As a result, traditional exchanges could become less attractive for long-term investment, let alone using paper bills.

    • Artificial intelligence, warlike?

“The moon in the middle night over the high mountain; the new sage with a solitary mind sees it; invited by his disciples to be immortal; eyes to the south, hands-on breast, bodies in the fire,” one reads among the verses of Nostradamus.

With that omen and others such as “those of Lake Geneva (Geneva) or Mâcon; formed against Aquitaine; many Germans, even more Swiss; will be driven together with those of Mankind” could mean that the Third World War is coming; this time against androids.

    • War in the eastern Mediterranean

The explosion maybe by a volcano or by climate change, yes, or by a nuclear bomb if one takes into account the quartet presented by Yearly Horoscope:

“The sky will burn at 45 degrees; the fire will approach the new city; the extended flames will explode; when will put the ‘Normans’ to the test”.

    • Geminids an asteroid strike?

Humanity could be facing a moment worthy of the Cretaceous, with an asteroid crashing into the planet and causing years of darkness, climate change, and the extinction of thousands of species.

Another option is that December 2022 will bring a 72-hour night with a threat of tsunamis or earthquakes courtesy of a Geminids comet shower, or as Nostradamus puts it,

“Very near Auch, Lectoure, and Miranda; a great fire will fall from the sky for three nights. The cause will be both astounding and marvelous; soon after, an earthquake will follow”.

    Who was Nostradamus?

Michel de Notre-Dame, known as Nostradamus, the most famous seer and astrologer in history, was born in the south of France, in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, on December 14, 1503.

He was a physician (he studied medicine but never graduated) and alchemist.

He was a passionate traveler who contacted healers, sorcerers, and soothsayers during his many travels through France.

And it was they who passed on to him their knowledge of the stars.

At the height of the Renaissance (between 1547 and 1549), he traveled through Italy.

In 1555, he began to write his forecasts in the form of quatrains.

And since each book contained precisely one hundred of these combinations of four verses, he called them Centuries.

At that time, so naturalized the art of magic was that no one cared about these texts that foretold the future.

When The Prophecies was published, many criticized the book, arguing that it contained information obtained from the devil and labeled Nostradamus a heretic.

However, some supported him and sowed a spiritual aura around him, considering his work as a bible.

    What does seem to be confirmed is Nostradamus feared that the Inquisition would persecute him for heresy, interpreters since then, the apothecary returned his quatrains;

Throughout his life, he wrote 6,338 prophecies, extremely cryptic and full metathesis, anagrams, metaphors, and words in Greek and Latin.

Nostradamus had the protection of Catherine de Medici -first queen consort of France and then regent- who, fascinated by his talent, gave him a place in court as a fortune teller, advisor, and physician.

He died in 1566, at 63.

His name transcended five centuries and continues to generate unknowns and expectations at the beginning of each year.
