Maiden Queen of the Sky

Whether you chose to believe in them or not, astrological signs (and the personalities associated with them) have interested people for many years. No one knows the exact origin of the Zodiac signs but the modern Zodiac sign as we know it was thought to have been adopted by the ancient Greek from the Babylonians. This practice of astrology is not technically considered a science anymore but many still believe in it as if it were. There are 12 different signs, each different from the one before, and yet somehow they make up the whole of the human race. According to Greek legend the Myth of the Virgo Maiden is this, she was the daughter of Zeus and Themis and personified innocence, purity, and justice and was the last immortal to live on the earth. She ended up in the stars because she fled earth after becoming disgusted by human greed and brutality and there she remains today.

This author is a true Virgo, born in the middle of the season (August 23rd-September 22) and it definitely shows in character. She is intellectual, commanding, and kind hearted. She likes to make goals for her life and remains disciplined to completing them. She becomes unsettled when the goals don’t happen or have to change. Due to her natural helping nature she is a good fit for her job as a nurse and she is not afraid of hard work. In relationships she can seem reserved, but she is just choosing to reveal only what is necessary. Once her trust is won over it is not easily lost and she remains very loyal.

Virgo, also known as the Maiden Queen of the Sky, is the sixth astrological sign in the Zodiac and second largest constellation in the night sky. It is a mutable Earth element sign that is ruled by the planet Mercury, and this sign welcomes the harvest season and the second half of the year. With a ruling planet of Mercury Virgos are excellent communicators and they seek the goodness in humanity and look to serve justice for the world. Although they are an Earth element, this does not mean they are materialistic, in actuality this is referring to their well-grounded and practical nature. Virgo’s mutable power lies in their ability to fix life’s situations for the better. One of the most misunderstood signs due to their seemingly “closed off nature” Virgos just take more time to unfold and express their true feelings. Other signs can take a cue from their namesake, most Virgos feel as though they are experiencing everything for the first time. This leads them to be hyper-aware to every little detail-they cannot miss a thing. Left unchecked, this can lead to perfectionist behavior, however in a healthy Virgo this attention to detail is only used in a supportive and helpful way. When a Virgo supports someone else they are some of the most patient people, they will do whatever it takes to make sure that person finds success, even if that success is not instantaneous. Some other things to watch out for in an unhealthy Virgo is judgmental and critical behavior, they can be too picky, and stubbornness or unwillingness to budge on anything or see compromise. If other signs can get through a Virgo’s “tough” exterior though, the rewards in that relationship with that person will be endless.

One thing is for certain about the Zodiac signs, people have been turning to the stars to tell them more about themselves for centuries, and this is a practice that most likely won’t be changing anytime soon.
