Galaxy S21 Ultra - FREEBIES!

So it's being reported multiple times at this point that the Galaxy S21 lineup is coming earlier than usual.

Since the production of the S21 is already underway which is 6 weeks before than usual, it is expected that the launch will happen around a month earlier than the usual mid-February launch.

Up until now, we didn't know the exact launch and release date of Samsung's next big thing but that changes today courtesy of Jon Prosser who as you know is one of the top Apple leakers out there.

According to him, Samsung will launch the S21 on January 14th which is almost a full month earlier than the S20's launch event which took place on February 11th earlier this year. The pre-orders will start on the same day and Jon says the handsets will be available to purchase from January 29th onward around two weeks after the launch event.

He also confirms the color variants, Black, White, Grey, Silver, Violet, and Pink which is in line with what Ross Young said a few days ago. Although the S21 Ultra will only get black, silver, and violet colors. With that said, we also some information about the freebies that we are getting with the Galaxy S21 lineup.

South Korean media reports that Samsung is indeed removing the AKG headphones from the box but Samsung may not go as far as Apple in removing the charger as well. Because as per the latest reports, the S21 is more likely to have the charger bundled inside the box. Now, as for the freebies, Samsung will give Galaxy buds beyond which is an upcoming Bluetooth earbud, the successor to the Galaxy Buds Plus or buds lives.

There's no information about what these earbuds will look like or what new features are they going to bring to the table. But according to South Korean media, the Galaxy Buds Beyond will improve water resistance, battery performance, and sound quality compared to its predecessor. Now, interestingly, Sammobile who first broke this news citing this South Korean report said that Samsung will ditch the AKG headphones from the S21's box but instead will replace it with this Galaxy Buds Beyond which is expected to cost $160. Sorry to break it to you, but it's not going to happen.

If you go and read the actual original article then you can see that they never mentioned Samsung is including these earbuds inside the box. They said they will give it away as a preorder gift just like the Galaxy Buds Plus or Buds lives. Sammobile probably got too excited and didn't read the context the Korean website was trying to convey.

They said in the first paragraph that Samsung is removing the AKG earphones to reduce costs, how they can do it by bundling earbuds that cost over $100 more than the AKG ones. Other websites are referring to Sammobile's article and saying that Samsung is bundling the new earbuds inside the box, which isn't true at all.

The fact of the matter is Samsung will give it away as a pre-order gift and as usual not every country will get the same deal. Some get cashback, some get gift vouchers and some get a TV. But in any case, the S21 will not have AKG earphones inside the box.

Anyway, the Galaxy Z Flip 2 which is launching sometime in spring will have upgraded audio according to the latest information. The handset is also expected to have a bigger outer display, a 120Hz inner display, and a triple rear camera setup.
