Dune’s opening scene.

A film based off science fiction it seems at first. Really at the core of Dune is all Islamic based and folklore, meanings, symbols, text (Arabic) and etc. this will be a exposure of all the Islamic influences and meaning’s of Dune. The movie has a few examples and the books are filled with Arabic words and phrases.

“Shai-Hulud” Arabic for (Eternal Thing). Referring to the (Sand Worms) in the film.

The Blue Quran and Why Islam

The Blue Quran starts with the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Origins of the Fatimid. It also is an early Quran manuscript written in Kufic script.

The dating, location of origin, and patron of the Blue Quran are unknown and have been the subject of academic debate.

The exact origin of the Blue Quran is truly unknown. Purpose of it is each sura's verses are inked in gold on rich indigo. The Blue Qur'an was a display of the Fatimid dynasty's wealth, power. While emulating the purple parchment used for Byzantine Imperial manuscripts, it also sought to surpass their rival's in the Byzantine Empire. Art historian Yasser Tabbaa wrote that the "evanescent effect" of the gold lettering on the blue parchment "appears to affirm the Mu'tazili belief in the created and mysterious nature of the Word of God.”

Ever since humans have had to learn to think for themselves.

In makes complete sense when you understand the Bene Gesserit’s mission.
