The specialist asked if I felt any heat from the laser drying the glue, to which I replied that I only felt a slight warming sensation. Initially, I was apprehensive about the robot's appearance and its pincer-like arms near my eyes. However, after several successful applications without any "Final Destination" moments, my skepticism faded away. The arms were definitely noticeable but not uncomfortable as they brushed through my lashes like a child getting his eyeliner done for the first time. Although they may look scary, we were assured that these lightweight robotic arms are attached with magnets and would simply flop off if accidentally hit instead of piercing through our eyeballs. My lashes looked longer than ever before with some added curl at 15 millimeters in length. Now it was time for me to zip it and let the machine do its thing while I took a beauty nap per their encouragement. As she does her business, we can address a few lingering questions. One of which is the reason for this robot's existence. The owner and creator have a background in robotics and were intrigued by a simple value proposition that a robot could provide when starting their company. The question is, do you prefer fast or slow lash appointments? Traditional appointments can take up to 90 minutes, but the goal is to reduce that time to just 20 minutes. Currently, the robot only works on one eye at a time, but eventually, it will be able to work on both simultaneously. However, the creator's intention is not to replace lash artists, but rather provide them with a tool that can increase their efficiency and allow them to do three times as many appointments in a day. This concept is similar to a surgeon using a robotic arm, although the owner insists on maintaining a cute spa vibe rather than a medical one. In addition to faster lash appointments, using the robot also has physical benefits for lash artists who no longer have to hunch over clients all day. As I emerge from my quick nap during the appointment, I am pleased with how comfortable I feel throughout the process. The time had come for me to be lowered out of the machine and have my lashes checked by a specialist. As she went over them, she made any necessary corrections. The specialist also added any missing lashes to achieve the perfect rainbow arch shape that we had agreed on. It's a natural glam look, not too much but still beautiful and eye-opening. Finally, she declared me ready to go. Surprisingly, we didn't add much length beyond her natural lashes. They were simply thicker and curlier. Finally, it was time for me to see the result. After being properly positioned, I opened my eyes and was amazed - oh boy, do I have lashes now! They're absolutely stunning! To clarify, this was my first time getting eyelash extensions and I honestly love how they turned out. They're definitely curly, although you mentioned they aren't much longer than my own lashes.
