'Mark my words - AI is far more dangerous than nukes' - Elon Musk

Whenever we see movies such as Matrix and Terminator then we probably think that robots and AI will make us their slave and will control the world. Is it just a science fiction or a glimpse of future?

International Business Machines corporation has declared that they will stop hiring humans because AI can do all the jobs that humans can do. Whenever a new technology arrives then blue collar jobs get in danger first, then white collar jobs and then creative jobs because it is believed that a machine can't replace the creativity of human minds. But this is an old saying. Below is a picture that has been created by AI which has won several awards at the international level.

Arts like this which takes days of hard work, AI can create it within seconds. This means that people who are associated with creative field are more in danger because of AI.

Let us understand with an example that how AI is dangerous for humans.

Self driven cars are a reality nowadays. You might have seen many videos that cars like Tesla with a speed of 100 kmph is getting driven on highway and driver doesn't have to pay any attention. Those decisions that a driver is supposed to take is now taken by AI. Now suppose if a person comes on the road then in this situation what should AI do? If the car was being driven by human then that human would be sole responsible for that decision. But when it comes to AI then who should be responsible? That engineer who created AI? That company who owned AI? The country in which AI is operating or that person who has spent money to buy that car? This is the question whose answer is still not known.

AI is not only limited to driving vehicles. It can be used for many mischiefs and after Covid when we talk about mischief then their is only one country which comes in ur mind that is China. Most of us heard about AI like an year ago but China is investing in research and AI since 1986. It even borrowed 17 Billion USD just to invest in AI. If you remember that last war that China fought was in 1979 and China lost it because Chinese military couldn't survive in extreme mountain conditions. But with the help of AI they can make self driving tanks, helicopters which will become a threat for its neighboring countries.

Elon Musk calls AI a danger because -

• AI is developing very fast.
• People who are developing AI themselves don't know its limitations.
• At a certain point of time AI will become smarter than human minds.

Basically AI is not one system from one company but actually it is thousands of systems from thousands of companies. Every country is developing their own AI. AI is dangerous because with the help of AI there are certain companies who have got power to manipulate the truth. Think what if AI is used to spread wrong messages? We have given AI the power which can destroy the whole humanity and that power is called The Power of Truth.

Ai can be awfully discriminatory. It can be used to target a particular group of citizens badly and we can blame only person that is us because we have given them this power. If we want to cope with AI then we will have to understand its working and will have to accept the change. Those who will refrain are in real danger.
