Anime??? What is it really and where did it come from? When did this even become a thing? Some of you might have heard of anime?! But also wondered what it really was, well don't worry I'm here to explain on what anime really is and I'll go deeper into the past to tell you a little bit about it and why it exists? Sit back and just enjoy the story!

Anime was originally originate in Japan, since 1960s. Anime was created by, hand-drawn and computer animation. Japanese, anime describes all animated works, regardless of style or origin. Despite being outside of Japan! Even though in English, anime is demotic for Japanese animation refers to specifically to animations in Japan? Is anime a cartoon or not? I'm sure now your probably wondering that?! The answer is NO! Anime is NOT a cartoon! Japanese animation, or Anime. In spite of, there is debate as to whether or not Anime should be considered a cartoon. Does anime have genres? YES! Here is a list of them and it's explained on what they are!

1. Shonen (For Boys)- When you think of anime, what comes to mind is likely shonen. That's because shonen really just means "for boys," In the age of anime as export, however, the term has gained genre connotations that cannot be ignored. When they love a show they would be looking under shonen. withal how widely those titles might vary, there Dagon Ball Z, Slam Dunk, My Hero Academia, and Bleach. Shonen anime encompasses an enormous variety of subgenres: Sports, fantasy, science fiction, and even horror stories are found beneath this umbrella.

2. Shoujo (For Girls)- Like other entries on this list, shoujo (literally "young girl") is technically a demographic, warped by time and export into a genre term. Accordingly, shoujo anime ranges far and wide in terms of subject matter. What unites shoujo? An emphasis on relationships, for one thing, most obviously evidenced by shoujo's plethora of romance series. Yet this interest in what connects people goes beyond romantic love. Series like Tokyo Mew Mew, Nana, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket, might involve love triangles, headlining couples, and fandoms chock-full of shipping, but platonic relationships are just as big a part of their narratives, especially when it comes to friendships between young girls. The Heart of Thomas, a love story between two boys, and Ouran High School Host Club, an often-slapstick school comedy.

3. Seinen (Young boys/men)- If you're looking for robots, action, magic, and warfare, you've got a lot of options when it comes to anime. But what if you're not interested in wide-eyed hijinks, school stories, or wild teen emotions? That's when you turn to seinen, Technically, seinen just boils down to meaning "anime for young men." Method this translates to a wide variety of stories that can portray R-rated levels of violence and sexuality, murkier morals, and characters that are not promised any sort of absolution. But don't think it's all doom and gloom: Though crime, action, psychological horror, and particularly dark takes on science fiction and fantasy are often the order of the day, comedy falls under the seinen umbrella as well. Anime like Black Lagoon, Ghost in the Shell, One-Punch Man, and Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto.

4. Josei (Young girls/ women)- josei: manga for women. Josei is where you'll find relationships examined beyond the initial kiss, lives after graduation, and a lot more action between the sheets. osei anime like Paradise Kiss, Princess Jellyfish, and Kids on the Slope.

5, Ecchi (Close to hentai)-"Ecchi" is a flexible word in anime. It can be used as an adjective, to describe something sexual in a way that connotes naughtiness — sort of like hentai in a way. If it's sexy, naughty, risque, and/or flirty, it's squarely ecchi. Ecchi anime like Kill la Kill, High School of the Dead, Zero no Tsukaima, and Rosario to Vampire are undoubtedly infamous for their bodacious babes, but fans also flock to them for their storytelling and humor.

6. Harem- Typically, harem series center around an average dude, somewhere between 15 and 30. He's likely a little rootless, unsure of what he wants in life, nursing a passion he has yet to properly pursue. Many harem anime series incorporate other genres. Tenchi Muyo spends as much time on its epic space saga as it does its bevy of beauties, for example, while Trinity Seven takes place in a world of magical conspiracy.

Those were some examples, and a little bit about the genres. By the way if you ever want your kids to watch anime or your 16+ make sure you approve of the anime 'cause there are some anime's that will not be good for your child to watch. I can tell you that first hand, there are a lot of anime's I had seen and I wish I never did. I hope you found this helpful and can able to understand a little bit more about anime and what it is. I'll see you next time with a new short story.
