A Dream Come True: How Jupiter in Pisces Will Affect Your Sign

On May 13th, 2021, Jupiter will enter the mystical and romantic sign of Pisces, it's nocturnal home sign. It will only be there for a short time before retrograding back into Aquarius on July 28th. However, Jupiter will return to Pisces on December 29th and remain there until May 10th, 2022, when it enters Aries, only to retrograde back into Pisces again from October 28th to December 20th, 2022.

Jupiter in Pisces

Jupiter in Aquarius gave us some hope after a dark storm. Jupiter in Capricorn (sign of it's fall) brought us the global crisis of coronavirus. When Jupiter entered Aquarius, a sign very much associated with science and technology, in December 2020, it brought us a vaccine. However, we are not out of the woods yet. While Jupiter is more comfortable in Aquarius than it is in Capricorn, like Capricorn, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, the planet traditionally known as the Great Malefic and basically Jupiter's polar opposite. Essentially, while things have been slowly getting better for the collective, the hardships are still there. While there's been some progress, it has not been enough to undo the damage that's been done. However, with Jupiter entering Pisces on May 13th, we may see positive changes, some of them almost too good to be true.

Because Jupiter is actually at home in the sign of Pisces, we can expect this transit to bring abundance, faith, freedom, expansion, and optimism, all characteristics of the Great Benefic. While Sagittarius, a fire sign, is it's diurnal ruler, Pisces, a water sign, is the planet's nocturnal ruler. Like the archer, Pisces is about the search but rather than representing the quest for mere knowledge or factual truth, Pisces looks for a deeper meaning, the emotional truth. This fits well with Jupiter's association with religion (in fact, the fish was a symbol of the early Christianity). Really, what Pisces is looking for is connection, connection with other humans, connection with all living beings, and connection with God. While Sagittarius seeks freedom to do as they please, Pisces seeks freedom from the material world, freedom from suffering and pain. This can give Pisces a reputation for escapism, but also, a reputation for empathy, acceptance, healing and compassion for others.

People born with Jupiter in Pisces tend to be attracted to all that is magical, mystical and mysterious. They are not interested in the mundane nor are they interested in absolutes. They are more interested in the universal, the unexplainable, the soul within. They are healers and humanitarians. They are dreamers and romantics, artists and poets, who live by the spirit of the law - in other words, the bigger picture - not merely the letter.

Listen to the Music of the Universe

On a collective level, Jupiter's transit through the sign of Pisces may cause people to develop a deeper interest in spirituality. Perhaps, it will trigger a spiritual awakening in many. It expands our awareness beyond the strictly logical, allowing for a greater acceptance of more emotional or intuitive knowledge. More importantly, my hope is that it will make kindness cool again, by fostering a greater sense of community, connection and oneness with the world around us.

Perhaps, this transit will wash away our suffering, cleansing us of all the pain and hardship we went through within the last few years, allowing us to feel lighter, freer, and happier than before. Maybe it will inspire us to grow, become better people, and make the world a better place for everyone else around us as well, that way we can live a life in accordance with our wildest dreams. This transit reminds us that all things are possible if we believe.

This could mean an end to the pandemic altogether. Interestingly, Jupiter's entrance into Pisces comes about at the same time as the re-opening of the United Kingdom and the same time that the United States makes the vaccine available to the general public (or in other words, everybody under the age of 12). However, we must remember that Jupiter will only be in Pisces for a short time in 2021 before re-entering Aquarius in July....

Retrograde and Back Again

I will make another article, discussing Jupiter Retrograde in detail and what it means for each sign, but for now, I want to stress that even with Jupiter in Pisces, the pandemic isn't over yet. Considering it's the planet's domicile, my predictions for Jupiter in Pisces are generally more positive than negative. However, it is a sign associated with fantasy, illusion and even deception; as in modern astrology, Neptune is seen as it's co-ruler. Since Jupiter will only be in Pisces for a short time before going retrograde and re-entering Aquarius on July 28th, I'm inclined believe that the next few months will merely present us with the illusion of freedom, the illusion that 'all is well' and we can go back to living our normal lives.

This May, when Jupiter enters Pisces, countries will open up as more and more people get vaccinated. While throughout the summer, things may seem to be going smoothly, I fear that as more and more people feel free to take off their masks, there will be a resurgence of cases when Jupiter retrogrades back into Aquarius. Perhaps, new vaccine-resistant strains will pop up before we're ready to deal with them. Otherwise, we might discover that this vaccine has unexpected side effects.

Whatever the case, I expect that we'll find ways to deal with them when Jupiter in Aquarius goes direct, and by the time it re-enters Pisces in December 2021, that's when we'll have true freedom. In other words, I predict (and hope) that this global crisis will be over by 2022.

Aspects

Perhaps, the most important aspect that Jupiter in Pisces will be making is a conjunction to Neptune on April 12th, 2022. This takes the sensitive and magical nature of Pisces energy and amps it up to the extreme. Breaking the walls that separate us from one another, transcending the boundaries that separate the material world from the spiritual one, borders will be broken. Perhaps, this could indicate some collective delusion or mass manipulation, but I'm more inclined to believe this transit will be more positive: 1. by bringing people together, fostering a greater sense of love and unity and 2. by bringing miracles into our own lives.

Jupiter in Pisces' first aspect, however, will be a square to the Sun at 0 degrees Gemini on May 21st. Because it's a square, I am inclined to take a more negative interpretation. Perhaps, people feel the illusion of freedom so strongly that they'll have the hubris (Sun) to go out and socialize with whoever they want (Gemini), forgetting we're in a pandemic and (unintentionally) spreading disease to others. Shortly after, Jupiter will make a trine to Venus in Cancer on June 3rd, bringing kindred souls together and deepening our romantic bonds. It's last aspect of 2021 will be a trine to the Sun in Cancer, allowing us to set aside our egos and be vulnerable with the ones we care about. Jupiter will then exit Pisces until December 2022.

When Jupiter re-enters the sign of the fish in December 2022, it's first aspect will be a t-square to the North and South Node at 1'02 degrees Gemini and Sagittarius, respectively, exact on January 3rd. This time may coincide with "karmic" or fated events in those affected, particularly around themes associated with Gemini and Sagittarius such as communication and knowledge. You may be at a crossroads in your belief system or your faith may be tested, particularly if you have planets, angles or nodes in the mutable signs.

Meanwhile, Jupiter will be sextile Uranus at 11'13 degree Taurus on February 17th of next year. Although it's technically a minor aspect, there may be positive developments or scientific breakthroughs relating to the environment at this time, and nature may play a bigger role in our sense of spirituality.

Jupiter will conjunct the Sun at 14 degrees Pisces on March 5th, 2022. This aspect is often considered to mark "the luckiest day in the year," and in the sign of Jupiter's domicile, that may very well be true. Jupiter will be conjunct Mercury soon after on March 21st, expanding our mind and intuition and perhaps, even expanding our gifts of prophecy and telepathic communication.

On April 12th, Jupiter will be conjunct Neptune, an aspect we already talked about. Soon after, however, Jupiter will be conjunct Venus, in the sign of its exaltation, on April 30th, 2022. Perhaps this will be an even luckier and more pleasant day than March 14th, considering that these planets are both dignified. All matters pertaining to love, romance, art and beauty are especially favored.

Jupiter in Pisces: A Union of Souls

On May 3rd, 2022, Jupiter will sextile Pluto at 28'26 Capricorn, a minor aspect but essentially, I think the power of love, compassion and spiritual connection (Jupiter in Pisces) could have the power to transform (Pluto) existing social structures (Capricorn) at this time. I'm not necessarily saying this will be a miracle, however. Jupiter will enter Aries, a fire sign ruled by Mars and associated action, anger, and aggression shortly (on May 10th) after so it's possible that the community might have to come together to advocate and perhaps even fight for these changes.

Jupiter will remain in Aries until October 28th when it retrogrades back into Pisces. I will write another article on the retrograde when it comes, but Jupiter Retrograde in Pisces' aspects will include: a trine to Venus in Scorpio on November 15th and a trine to the Sun in Scorpio on November 21st or 22nd. This could increase our sense of pleasure and self-esteem while simultaneously reevaluating the amount of depth and intimacy in our love lives, and also having us question how authentic we've been with ourselves.

Jupiter will go direct once again in Pisces on November 28th, 2022 and it's only major (exact) aspect that I can see is a square to Mercury in Sagittarius on December 6th. Beliefs may seem to trump logic at this time and while this may be a good thing (emotion and intuition are often undervalued in our society), exaggeration and assumption could also lead to misunderstandings if we're not careful. Jupiter will then leave Pisces for another twelve years on December 20th-21st.

Horoscopes

Now it's time to see how it will affect your sign. I suggest reading the horoscope for your ascendant or rising sign, first, instead of the sun. I find the rising sign horoscope to be more accurate than the sun, as these horoscopes are based on the houses. If you don't know your rising sign, click here to generate a birth chart. Yes, you will need your birth time for this. If you don't have your birth time, Sun sign horoscopes are the next best thing. Time to Watch Your Troubles Fly Away, Aries (credit: Rafal Olbinski)

Aries Rising or Sun

Independent and active, you're the type of person who lives in the moment, Aries. Always, go, go, go, you don't always take the time to relax or meditate. With Jupiter in Pisces transiting your 12th house, you're being asked to take a step back and do some reflection. This last house is often associated with places of solitude but this includes places of healing or spiritual contemplation. In other words, this transit can help you clean out the dark corners of your subconscious and walk away from habits, people or things in your life that were holding you back from evolving. You may develop a greater interest in religion, psychology, magic or mysticism, throughout the course of the next year or two, and you may find that your own intuition is heightened: you'll want to pay attention to your dreams, especially.

Don't Hesitate to Reach Out to a Friend, Taurus

Taurus Rising or Sun

With Jupiter in Pisces transiting through your 11th house, you're making friends with people who will support you on your spiritual journey. This is a time for meeting people who are on the same path as you, people who share the same values and the same goals and dreams. Strange coincidences and moments of chance may bring the right people into your life, people who are your platonic soulmates. While you can be materialistic at times, Taurus, now is the time to be more emotionally supportive - be there for your friends, give to the community, show compassion for the people you care about. You may be expressing your spirituality through a more humanitarian framework during this next year or two.

Follow Your Dreams, Gemini, Whether You Want a Ph.D or to be on TV

Gemini Rising or Sun

Sometimes you can be indecisive about where you want to go in life, dear Gemini. It's not that you lack ambition; it's just that you have so many interests you can't seem to narrow it down! However, with Jupiter in Pisces transiting your 10th house, you may find yourself drawn to a higher calling. You may find that a profession is calling your name; that the universe is sending you towards the field that you are meant to be in. For those of you who do know what you want, you may still find that new opportunities open and circumstances line up in ways that push you towards pursuing your dreams. For those of you who are already established in a field, you could receive a promotion or recognition or something like that, or if you're bored with your job, this transit may help you find a new one that will actually provide your life with some meaning.

You're Searching for Connection to the Universe, Cancer

Cancer Rising or Sun

Cancer, you may have a reputation for being a homebody, but you definitely have a sense of adventure in you. Like Pisces, you have an interest in all that is magical and mysterious and with Jupiter in your 9th house, this transit is sure to bring it out. You may find yourself getting involved with a new religion or spiritual community, or otherwise, adopting a new philosophy or ideology. You might find yourself gaining a deeper interest in matters of mysticism or maybe even morality and ethics. You're gaining a deeper curiosity about the meaning of life and want to learn all there is to know about the world around you. Some of you might have an opportunity to study something new at school, perhaps a subject of emotional significance for you. If it's safe enough, you might even get the chance to travel somewhere meaningful to you.

Losses lead to new beginnings, Leo

Leo Rising or Sun

As the house of debt and death, the 8th house typically doesn't get the best rep. However, when a benefic is placed here, especially in it's own sign, there are plenty of rewards to be reaped. For example, as the house of other people's money, you might receive an inheritance or gift of some sort. As far as loss goes, you might find yourself liberated from things that were holding you back in life, such as a bad relationship or a job you've been wanting to quit; some losses can actually be gains. This transit may help free you from anxiety, addiction and/or depression, and in your relationships, it can help you take things to the next level, allowing for a deeper type of intimacy, and we know how much that is important to you, Leo.

A Fairytale Romance Is Possible, Virgo

Virgo Rising or Sun

Dear Virgo, you may not be one to have your head in the clouds. In fact, sometimes your 'realism' can be biased towards the negative, preventing you from living in the moment and developing healthy connections. However, since Jupiter in Pisces falls into your 7th house, you might suddenly find that your life has turned into a fairytale romance. Suddenly, by chance, you run into a person who you feel could be the other half of your soul, someone who accepts you and all your flaws, someone who accepts you for who you are, who nurtures you and inspires you to grow. Of course, this could be the person you're already with; your fairytale prince/ss doesn't have to be somebody new. And if romance isn't your thing, this transit can also be beneficial for business partnerships and close friendships. In any case, synchronicities will likely attract the right people into your life and your current relationships may take on a happy and almost dream-like quality.

Celebrate the Magic In Everyday Things, Libra

Libra Rising or Sun

You're in good health, Libra! If you've been going through a period of depression or sickness, you may feel Jupiter's transit through Pisces to liven your spirits up, at the very least. Perhaps, spirituality will play a role in your healing, or you may decide to make spirituality a more significant part of your routine. Maybe, this will mean making more time for meditation, prayer, magical rituals, or whatever spiritual practice you prefer. You might also find yourself taking a greater interest in healing, wellness, and ways that the mystical and magical can be experienced in everyday life. For some you, this could be a deeper appreciation of nature.

Express What's In Your Heart, Scorpio (credit: Rob Kline)

Scorpio Rising or Sun

You're a very passionate person, Scorpio, and with Jupiter in Pisces, you may be inspired to direct that passion towards art, music, or another creative endeavor. You might find opportunities come to you when you use your imagination to create something beautiful and/or authentic. The 5th house is also about fun and romance - so you're likely to find this transit a very enjoyable one; you might try out a new hobby and you might even spark up a love connection. The 5th house rules children, as well, and Jupiter is a fertile planet, so if you are looking to have a kid, now could be a good time. Otherwise, think about this way: the pictures you paint, the stories you write, the sculptures you build etc. are all your metaphorical children.

The Home Should Be An Escape From Stress, Sagittarius (credit: Rafal Olbinski)

Sagittarius Rising or Sun

You're an adventurer, Sagittarius, but with Jupiter in Pisces transiting your 4th house, you might be realizing that the greatest adventures are those close to home; the home is a place where you can escape from the world, into your own imagination. Or else, you might be inspired to move to a different home. This is a good time to 'escape' your current surroundings by traveling or re-locating, setting down roots in a new city or even a new country. This may be more than just location: you might be wanting to escape the traumas and troubles of your past, as well. Nevertheless, it is a good time to connect with family. For some of you, your family might be expanding, whether that's through marriage or a new child. On another note, you might develop a new interest in ancestry or your family history, perhaps traveling somewhere that is meaningful to you in that way.

It's a Good Time to Talk to Others, Capricorn, Online If Not IRL

Capricorn Rising or Sun

With Jupiter in Pisces transiting the social third house, it's possible that your social circle is getting bigger and it might be that the right people come to you at the right time. This can be new acquaintances met online through shared interests, or people you cross paths with in your everyday life. As introverted as you are, Capricorn, you're discovering the beauty of social connection and you might feel more confident in conversations than usual. After a year of isolation, you might finally be ready to interact with the community. It's a good time to take a class or education yourself on an area of interest as well, particularly interests of a spiritual, religious, philosophical or humanitarian nature.

You're in For Some Good Luck With $, Aquarius (credit: Chris-Anne, themusetarot.com)

Aquarius Rising or Sun

While you're not stereotyped as being the most materialistic person, Aquarius, we all need money to survive, and with Pisces Jupiter transiting your 2nd house, you're in for some good luck. You may receive money from the most unexpected places. Synchronicities might lead you to a new financial opportunity and it's a good time to profit off of your creativity, as well. Pisces is a compassionate sign, remember, so you may receive financial help from others if needed. If not, you may be the one using your wallet to help others out.

Love Yourselves, Pisces (credit: Julia Geiser)

Pisces Rising or Sun

Expect an increase in health, wellbeing and vigor over the next two years, Pisces. With Jupiter in your sign, you're likely to feel a renewed enthusiasm for life. Jupiter's transit through the 1st house often signifies a new beginning after a period of depression or an otherwise challenging time time. Your faith in God/dess, the Universe and/or yourself is likely to increase and provide you with an inspirational path out of difficult times, as you gain the confidence and self-love needed to manifest what you want. New opportunities are all around you, perhaps especially in regards to career, since that's the other area of life (Sagittarius, 10th house) that Jupiter rules in your birth chart. These opportunities may involve synchronicities or meaningful coincidences. Essentially, this is a happy time for you, where you'll feel your dreams come true, but one involving a gain in wisdom and growth as well.

Conclusion

Jupiter's transit through Pisces is a refreshing change from the last two years. Pisces is Jupiter's home sign so we should see an increase in abundance, faith and freedoms throughout the next year and a half. This includes freedom from the pain and suffering many of us have experienced while Jupiter was transiting Capricorn and Aquarius. However, because Jupiter is only going to be in Pisces for a short time before retrograding back into Aquarius, we must be careful not to get our hopes up or open things back up too soon. But when Jupiter re-enters Pisces towards the end of 2020, we might actually see a return to 'normal' or no, something better than normal. Collectively, there might be a greater interest in spiritual matters throughout this transit and an increase in compassion or empathy for others. Most importantly, perhaps, Jupiter's transit through Pisces will help many of us to make our dreams come true, creating a reality so good that it almost seems like fantasy.
