What do girls crave in bed, but are too shy to ask? From Wild Rides to literal butt-kissing, some real women give guys an idea of what women want during sex.

Make some of these ideas your own—then forward to the guys in your life.

"Lengthy foreplay please! Sex is always better (for both of us) when he takes the time to make out and get me really aroused beforehand."—Gillian S.

"I want to be treated really passionately and aggressively. Like, throw me against a wall and grab me forcefully a la Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams post-canoe ride in The Notebook."—Madison E.

"I just want my man to tell me that I am a very bright, very special woman (a la Richard Gere in Pretty Woman). I feel like most guys aren't so great with the compliments, and after you're naked with someone, that's all you really want."—Christine B.

"I would love to be whisked away on a last minute trip somewhere chic, have a lovely, innocent, romantic dinner...then on a walk back to our hotel, sneak off in an alley for an illicit, highly-charged tryst!"—Liz F.

"Totally cliche, but I would love to be wooed in my bedroom with tons of candles lit everywhere. I just think candlelight makes me look better (which makes me feel sexy) and I think it's uber romantic and sweet."—Elizabeth G.

"Get your fingers involved with the oral, boys! It takes things to a whole new level."— Jill G.

A Caring Guy Is a Hot Guy

What do women want? For those who've ever pondered this question, here are 19 relationship secrets. They're based on the study of healthy, happy couples and our changing gender roles. Secret No. 1: Women appreciate a guy with a sensitive side, especially when they're upset. Put your arm around them and hand them a tissue. Nurturing is a powerful way to connect.

Chivalry Still Has a Place

When it comes to romance, many women do like men to take a traditional masculine role. This is especially true in the wooing stage of a relationship, according to psychologist Diana Kirschner, PhD, who's written several books about love. They are perfectly capable of pulling out their own chair or opening a door, but if you see them hesitate, they might just be waiting for you to be the gentleman.

Dress to Impress

Styles come and go, but men's attention to their grooming and clothing should be long lasting. It's important to women from the first flirtation through the honeymoon and beyond. "You've got to figure out if there's a certain look that she likes," says Kirschner. "If she likes a guy in tight jeans, you wear tight jeans."

Guy Wears Red, Guy Gets Girl

OK, this tip doesn't come from women, but from clever testing by psychologists of women's subconscious preferences. One intriguing study found that the color red made men seem more powerful, attractive, and sexually desirable to women. There's a caveat, though. Red doesn't make guys appear nicer or kinder. That part is up to you.

Don't Try to Fix Their World

When something's bothering them, they want your ear, not your advice. "Men feel the need to fix things because they are solution-oriented," says Kirschner. "But to a woman, really listening is a wonderful, wonderful thing that deepens the relationship."

get hands on

"Get your fingers involved with the oral, boys! It takes things to a whole new level."— Jill G.\

get footloose

"I secretly wish my fiancé would suck my toes and rub my arches during sex. The slightest touch to my feet when we are shifting positions drives me wild!"—Max A.

morning sex

"The thing I die for is a sneak attack when I'm asleep, and I wake up to my man "doing things" to me. Kiss of the neck from the spooning position (as I sleep on my side) and then full blown fun is the best."—Melissa F.
