Tongkat Ali, (Eurycoma Longifolia) also known as Jack, Long Jack, or Nagaekasa, is a small evergreen shrub with pinnate leaves. Native to the jungles of Malaysia, Indonesia, Burma, Thailand, and Viet Nam, the herbaceous plant has been utilized to promote sexual desire and a healthy libido. For centuries, native rainforest tribes have employed Tongkat Ali as a natural aphrodisiac.

Tongkat Ali often called Jack, Tung Saw, Pasak Bumi, or Malaysian Ginseng, is considered the most controversial and most widely used herb on the planet. Sourced from the slender roots of the Tongkat tree, the herb has the power to increase sperm count, increase libido, reduce sperm abnormalities, boosts sperm mobility, and even enhance the size of the male sex organ. In the Malaysian language, the name Tongkat Ali means “Ali’s Walking Stick.”

In Malaysia, the root has been used by the Aboriginal people in the treatment of fevers, fatigue, high blood pressure, loss of sexual desire, and impotence. A growing body of corroborating medical research now supports Tongkat Ali’s long history of traditional use. Previous medical research studies indicate properly-standardized TA stimulates the release of free testosterone, improving sex drive, boosting energy, and improving well-being.

In the United States, it is estimated that poor sexual performance affects greater 30 million men and their partners. A great many men are disillusioned with pharmaceuticals. Because Tongkat Ali is a natural product, that is wild harvested, many men with low testosterone levels or a diminished libido prefer the “magical” herb to other medicinal treatments or hormone therapy.

In Asia, Tongkat Ali has long been sold in the form of beverage and food additives. Growing in popularity in Western culture, Tongkat Ali, while often taken by men for its potent effect as a sexual enhancer, and by bodybuilders who seek all the help they can get, doesn’t just influence testosterone. Tongkat Ali relieves lower back pain, improves energy levels, and provides an overall boost in mental clarity.

Medical research indicates Tongkat Ali impacts cortisol levels as well. Cortisol, known as the stress hormone, is dangerous when it floods the body for too long.

If you live a busy, stress-filled life, Cortisol can overwhelm your system, placing your good health at risk for a diverse array of diseases. An excessive amount of cortisol also promotes belly fat. By helping to balance cortisol in the system, Tongkat Ali aids in weight management and the prevention of an accumulation of fat around one’s middle.

Tongkat Ali Isn’t Just For Men

Although Tongkat Ali was used traditionally to support female health, the flurry of interest in Western culture has focused on its amazing health benefits for men. Fortunately, a good deal of research is providing new knowledge of the many benefits of Tongkat Ali for women’s health.

For many women, exposure to toxins can throw a woman’s hormones out of balance. Medical research studies indicate that one out of three women in the United States suffers with low sexual desire. Common symptoms include low libido, a sluggish metabolism, and brain fog. Women that take Tongkat Ali overcome fatigue, build muscle and get rid of fat and flab. Tongkat Ali is also an effective diuretic, which helps women get rid of excess water in a natural and healthy way.

Tongkat Ali improves mood, prevents anxiety and depression, and promotes satisfaction and relaxation. The most obvious and most appreciated benefit for both men and women, Tongkat Ali, boosts libido.
