Phoebe Cates' Pool Scene
After ending a brief but successful modeling career by seventeen, it took Phoebe Cates less than 24 months to become famous for what Rolling Stone has consistently voted Phoebe Cates' pool scene, as the hottest bikini scene in film history. It would be a defining moment for cinema and the end of innocence for a young Cates. The sexualization of Phoebe Cates began before she was even legal. By the time she was nineteen, it was 1982 and she had done several nude scenes in films like Paradise. Fully nude was fully nude. It seemed coming off the 1970s decade of sex, drugs, and rock & roll, nudity even for a teenager, was more socially acceptable than in the 21st century. Paradise was another version of the cult classic Blue Lagoon where Phoebe’s peer Brooke Shields, also quite young, played a sexually active teenager.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses Film Adaptations
The French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos has been adapted to the screen multiple times since its publication in 1782. Several films share the essence of the novel, with the two main characters displaying deceit, manipulation, sexual conquests, and revenge. Not every adaptation is completely accurate to the novel, but in each it is clear where the story originated.

Zazel: The Scent of Love's Gina LaMarca
Penthouse Pets were strikingly beautiful and Gina LaMarca was no exception. The voluptuous beauty is half Italian half American. LaMarca was born on in 1969 in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The brown-eyed and red-haired beauty oozed sexuality and became the Penthouse Pet of May 1993. Gina was tlater named the Penthouse Pet of the Year 1995. She went on to appear in several Penthouse videos and made the transition from adult magazine model to art house adult film actress in the mid 1990s. LaMarca was renowned for her dynamic style and highly distinctive V-shaped triangle of pubic hair which was featured in master erotic photographer Philip Mond's cult classic soft core film Zazel: The Scent of Love. Zazel won seven AVN awards, and is perhaps the most beautiful erotic film ever made. If porn was ever art, it was Zazel that set the bar.

Reasons Fifty Shades of Grey is Successful
Fifty, Fifty, Fifty. It’s all anyone could think about leading up to the film, and it seems that the craze still lingers. Eager women everywhere are squeezing their thighs shut in anticipation of seeing their fantasy come to life on the big screen. From movie trailers, cast interviews, and a lot of female gossip, there is no way to escape the Fifty Shades frenzy that has taken over. So what are women expecting out of the spicy hit novel turned film? Reviews are mixed that’s for sure. While some women would have seen the movie even if Seth Rogen had been cast as Christian Grey, others were gung-ho about boycotting the film altogether (or at least until it hits DVD). What I don’t understand is why there must be so many Fifty Shades Of Grey haters. As a reader and lover of all three volumes, I would like to give a big "fuck you" to all the women who are making us Grey fans feel guilty.
