I have just finished watching a documentary about a way young women can make thousands of pounds from their bodies, all from within their own home. Its a website that allows you to post whatever content you choose and then you can charge a monthly fee for access, you can also sell individual items separately.

Its a site for any content you make choose to share, including music and writing, the programme was about the soft and hardcore pornography avaidible. It started with a young woman of 23 who has often topped twenty thousand a month and has an increasing fan base. She posts mainly semi naked pictures but some nudes as well. Her revenue stream is the people paying a monthly fee to access her more adult content. There is usually a free page of tempting things and samples, the more explicit costs.

I know from some women I follow on Instagram and twitter that they all try and push you towards their onlyfans page. Onlyfans started in the UK and is now a multi million pound worldwide operation. There are a number of woman who make a fortune from the site. Some I have seen charge $50 a month and have thousands of followers, plus she sells further content.

Its an attractive prospect with the perfect business strategy. You've got it, you sell it and you've still got it. The women seem to range from stunning through average woman on the street to the average lady you see in the shops. This is probably the attraction for some, seeing women that they mat seem as more attainable then the super model types.

The downside to the documentary was the investigation to the amount of under eighteens on the site and the people making little or no money. While you will for example see some on u tube making millions the rest wont. This is the same sort of thing. Its also partly due to what you can offer and the time you can spend. The big earners do this full time, earning a years pervious wage in a month or less.

The more successful models earn more for the more explicit shots and more explicit videos that they can share. The monthly fee also allows people to communicate by email and text within the programme. This allows the subscriber a way to chat to the channel maker, though some can take it to far. The ladies described some people offering money for sex or for content beyond what they are prepared to do.

The programme found a large number of providers who seemed underage, although this was an estimate by a computer face recognition programme. One of the girls featured sis say she was able to start posting from 15 years old by simply using someone else id. They also scanned social media and looked for girls offering nude pictures or videos for sale. Around 27,000 were estimated as 17 or under by the face programme, with around 3000 estimated as 13 years old.

This may seem a safe way of making money with less risk but the programme did wonder if it could lead to riskier things such as prostitution. The attraction for money could be too much for some, especially if their attraction wanes over time. I presume it depends on the person and what they want from it. The one who made a fortune had her own house by age 22 and was in a happy relationship. Her boyfriend took pictures and all were happy. Often the shots are taken with a camera phone and often are selfies. Even without high tech studios and cameras they can make lucrative content.

Some of the contributors add videos with their content. Some are solo, some with a partner and some with another women. The sex featuring videos I am aware of tend to be with the contributors partner, so again allows an extra degree of safety over working in porn films with strangers.

The main downside is probably people you know finding what you are doing. One girl was only making a few hundred pounds extra but had been thrown out of home by her disapproving parents. She was using the pictures to help buy food and was trying to get emergency housing as she was homeless.

Its an attractive way to make money if your happy to show yourself off over a number of platforms, then to charge via onlyfans. to keep interest you need to communicate, continually advertise and keep making new content. It will only work for a few but might be some useful pocket money for others. As always think twice and check the small print.
