Our Favorite Instagram Valentines in Sports for 2021
These posts were better than cards, candy & roses
While many of us cried and screamed that COVID-19 was still around to ruin our Valentine's Day, many women in sports wiped our worries away with beautiful posts that warmed our hearts on the holiday of love. Check out our favorite Valentines of Instagram in 2021.
Marti Bell
Marti Bell is one of the most beautiful women in pro wrestling. Along with being a looker, she's super talented as well. In our opinion she's better as a villain but she has the ability to fire the crowd up as a "good guy," encouraging them to root her on to victory.
According to Wikipedia she is 32 and everyone who knows anything about pro wrestling knows that a wrestler starts to enter their prime around that age. Marti has been visible on the national level. She rose to prominence as a member of one of the best factions in Impact Wrestling history, The Doll House. She was also featured on the WWE Network as a participant in the Mae Young Classic in 2017. The NWA made a solid return with a YouTube show and Marti Bell had a key role in the promotion's women's division in 2019.
Kamille
Kamille first crossed our path when she was playing football for the Atlanta Steam of the Legends Football League back in 2017. During that time she was getting her pro wrestling career off of the ground. Kamille got a lot of eyes on her by being the silent muscle for NWA champion Nick Aldis.
She proved that a pro wrestler could become an intriguing character by not saying a word and being imposing. The audience often cheered for her when they were not supposed to because she was just so good in her role. Being an exceptional villain, she would often do something evil to turn the crowd against her so that she could fulfill her role as a heel.
On Instagram, Kamille is a hit with 102,000 followers, which is excellent for an independent wrestler.
Ashley Worford
Ashley Worford is a sprinter at Kansas. She started her career in her home state of Michigan, at Western Michigan University. She came to Kansas in last season and has participated on the Jay Hawk 1,600-meter relay as well as the 60 and 200 meter sprints. As a special treat Worford actually took a second to speak with us about her Valentine's Day Instagram post. Check this out:
"Instagram has always been a way for me to reach out to and communicate with people around the world and express myself. For my pictures, I posted my caption which was, 'Alone but not lonely,' meaning I may not have a significant other today, but I have a lot of others things in my life that surrounds me with love and keeps me fulfilled. You don’t always need a man to feel that way.
I've never been a big fan of Valentine’s Day because I’m always single, but I love seeing happy couples, young and old in love and happy."
Okay, back to the regularly scheduled programming. How in the world is Ashley Worford single every Valentine's Day? That is one of the many mysteries of the universe.
Lawrencia "La La" Moten
The daughter of former NBA player Lawrence Moten, Lawrencia has carved her own road due to her high level of ambition. After a college basketball career that saw her compete at Chipola College and University at Buffalo before transferring to Hartford for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, Moten has become a respectable broadcaster. Her charisma, charm and hosting abilities are on display on The Hive Podcast. Moten also has her own lashes business and still finds time to thrill her fans as a drop dead gorgeous model.
