Masturbation For Men 101: There IS a Wrong Way!

Don't hurt yourself. Please yourself.

There is just something so taboo about masturbation.

Even in 2020, people rarely talk about it but are very open about their conquests.

I don’t understand how self-pleasing yourself is a sign of desperation or a sign that you’re a ‘loser’ if your friends find out you do it; yet if your friends find out you banged that girl/guy/non-binary individual you were eyeing, they praise you as some kind of “hero”.

There is nothing wrong about masturbation fellahs, but there is a wrong way to masturbate.

Movies, shows, magazines, imagination, books; however you chose to start yourself off, a decision has to be made- are you self-pleasuring yourself or self-abusing yourself?

Okay, I’m starting to sound like those religious crazies that claim “a man who masturbates is a Homosexual because he’s having sex with another man”—funny, you never see any posters condemning child molesters which makes up a majority of the churches.

But getting back on track, masturbation (for men) can be as painful as getting kicked in the balls.

You’re using constant motions to please yourself and with time it can get faster and without you knowing, your grip can get tighter. I know you want to hit the finish line fellahs, but do you also want to hit that finish line with your member bruised?

It doesn’t matter if you are circumcised or uncircumcised, masturbating is something that can be achieved by both kinds of men. As long as you take proper steps and measurements to ensure your "little friend", isn’t getting friction burned or being abused to the point that you end up feeling pain in that area.

When masturbating, it is important to make sure your pecker is lubed up. Dry masturbating is only going to slowly burn the skin on your penis because you’re causing too much friction in that area and as mentioned before, it can be painful if done wrong.

So what can you use?

Baby Oil has been something I’ve heard many guys use and they love the fact it’s water-insoluble and can easily be washed off with soap and water. But you should never use this as a lube for sex because it can destroy the condom and ultimately cause it to become ineffective as well as dry out, which can be an uncomfortable experience for your parter.

Baby Lotion is hypoallergenic which means they don’t have too many chemicals that could cause you to break out into hives or hurt your pecker if it stays on your skin for long and fun fact: it softens that skin too!

Coconut Oil has many benefits. I personally use it for oil pulling (which is when you gargle a tablespoon of it for 30 minutes and it gets all the yuckiness that daily flossing, brushing and mouthwash can miss) but it can be used as a masturbation lube too. It softens your skin and smells great!

Vaseline is another great lube to use. Plus it’s a great source of hydration for your skin.

I read somewhere that men use hand lotion as lube and they claim “It’s a great lube for masturbating because it smells great and technically speaking I am using my hands to do the deed so it’s also moisturizing my hands too.” Yes! But at the same time you need to remember that your penis and your hands are too different body parts and the skin is different!

Also you have an urethra on your penis-not your hands- and the last thing you would want is to get hand lotion (where the chemicals are solely meant to be used on your hands) in your urethra.

I don’t know what came over me to write an article like this, but I guess it had to do with the fact that people tend to push hook up culture onto others as if it’s cool to bed every and anybody, when in this day and age STDs are rampant now more than ever.

Masturbation is a safer way to please yourself, but remember, although it’s safe it can also be painful if done wrong.

So have fun out there Guys, just remember to lube up and treat your pecker kindly, he is after all, your closest friend.
