How to Better Your Sex Life

There's always room for improvement.

Having been with my partner for four years now, our sex life has been greater than ever. It wasn't always that way, though. In fact, it kind of sucked. I just didn't know it yet. Below I will list some helpful tips that helped me improve my sex life.

1. Make yourself comfortable.

Be comfortable with yourself in terms of your body. Believe it or not, this plays such a huge role in your sex life. Being comfortable in your own skin will allow your confidence to peek through and nothing is sexier than a confident woman in bed.

2. Pay attention to your partner.

Pay attention to their reactions. If they're moaning a little louder than usual, shaking a little more, gripping the sheets like there's no tomorrow... they like what you're doing so keep doing it! (And vice versa)

3. Be open to trying new things.

This can mean switching from your regular "go to" sex positions or even exploring your sensations further. Try using ice when you give him head or for the guys when you eat out your girl! Are you used to missionary? Then switch to doggy style or ride his dick into the sunset (I promise he will appreciate not having to do all the work). Try doing it in your car once in a while, even if it's parked in your driveway or garage, it's always exciting to have sex elsewhere other than the bed. Try it in the kitchen, restroom, shower, or on anything sturdy!

4. Speak your mind, be upfront.

If you don't like it, then say something. I promise guys do not know how to read minds, ladies. You don't have to fake a reaction because you're embarrassed to say something. If you don't have the heart to tell them you don't like what they're doing try replacing that with, "Can you try this?" or "I really like when you..." and emphasize what it is that you really like so that they can focus on that instead. If your partner still gets offended, then sorry ladies, but HE IS NOT THE ONE. (Makes no sense that he would want to keep doing something you don't enjoy.)

5. Channel your inner pornstar.

Going back to that comfortability and confidence! Take it up a notch and allow that confidence to help you channel something you didn't even know you had within you. Some helpful tips: make eye contact, spread those legs/cheeks yourself, be sloppy with it, play with yourself while he watches, strip for him to entice him. Maybe even try some dirty talk. This all depends on what you and your partner prefer, so try some of these things out and I promise the rest will come naturally when you are in your zone!

6. Don't hold back.

If you wanna be loud, then be loud (if you can of course, lol)! If you want to back up into him and help him while in doggy style, then go for it! Don't worry about how you look during an orgasm because I promise he thinks it's hot and he will probably be too busy cumming himself! Gentlemen, (with your lady's permission) don't be afraid to pound her, give her a little hair pull, and maybe even throw in a spank. Again, this all depends on your preference but you will never know if you don't try.

7. Spice things up with toys/props.

Sometimes the foreplay seems like it's a drag and it's totally normal to feel this way. This is a great opportunity to introduce vibrators or if your partner is into it, maybe even dildos. Try some handcuffs or some rope/string to tie each other up. Try some fun and sexy lingerie (another confidence boost).

8. Have fun!

Lastly, don't take yourself too seriously! This should be an enjoyable experience so ENJOY! I can't tell you how many times I have had sex with my partner and we are just busting up the whole time. Throw in a joke here and there if you're nervous or feel awkward. Make it a casual and relaxing experience. It is sex after all, not an interview.
