How Do You Define a Female Orgasm?

Can a rare Hawaiian mushroom really give women an "earth-shattering orgasm"?

Named aptly as Phallus, the mushroom is said to only grow on top of the 600 to 1,000-year-old lava flows of Hawaii, and the scientists, John C. Holliday and Noah Soule describe it as particularly difficult to find.

Prompted by rumours that the mushroom’s scent is a powerful female aphrodisiac, the pair conducted a ‘smell test’ on 16 female and 10 male volunteers. Six of the women reportedly experienced a mild (no, not "earth-shattering") orgasm when they sniffed the mushroom, while the remaining 10 were found to have an increased heart rate when given a smaller dose.

in short, the results were not as earth-shattering as expected.

OK, that brings us to a question. How do you define a female orgasm?

Medically speaking, it’s described as “rhythmic stimulation of body parts with a high concentration of sensory receptors.”

But in simple terms, it is a release of tension, like letting out a really satisfying sigh. And the size and intensity of one orgasm might be completely different from the next, depending on how she happens to be feeling that day and what part(s) of her body is being stimulated.

In short, an orgasm comes in all shapes and sizes, and through ways, you may not have even considered. For example, someone getting a nipple stimulation might feel pleasure, but they never think they could orgasm from it. Someone else may find that sensation to be intensely erotic and can orgasm easily from it.

That is why every orgasm is as unique as every orgasm-haver (read, every woman). And for any woman, orgasms just don't start and end with the clitoris. The clit is just the beginning of the fun.

And it is time to explore the other parts of her body for different types of orgasms that can make her all achy and quaky in a great way.

Clitoral Orgasm

This is the most common one and a whopping 72.6 percent of women get it.

This orgasm is all about stimulating the glans clitoris, which is a pea-shaped bundle of nerves which sits on top of the vulva. And the purpose of the clitoris is only to give pleasure.

So, a gentle fingering to brush the inner lips along with a top to bottom motion in small circles around the clit can help her get it. Clitoral orgasms can range from little spasms to full-on body quakes.

G-spot Orgasm

This is a tough one and quite elusive.

The G-spot is located on the front of the vagina and the orgasm can mostly be achieved by penetration only. as deep, full-body experiences with sensations lasting for as long as 60 seconds.

Both vagina-on-top and missionary positions are known G-spot locators and can give her mind-blowing G-spot orgasms.

Cerebral Orgasm

This is the laziest orgasm you can give her.

It requires nothing more than time and some wild imagination. All you need to do is to arouse her with sexy thoughts and allow your imagination free reign to take you over the edge of sexual pleasure. If you prefer, phone sex or even video sex can have the same effect, provided you stick to an intensely erotic script.

Kissing Orgasm

You need to be very patient if you intend to give her this orgasm.

To orgasm from just kissing alone, you need to spend at least an hour doing nothing more than allowing your lips and tongues to caress her. The slow build-up turns her on and relaxes her into the moment. As the kissing progresses, and her arousal grows, the sensations will build until she will be completely overwhelmed by a beautiful orgasm.

Nipple Orgasm

The nipple orgasm can be hugely satisfying but not every woman likes her nipples to be touched and played with.

Gently stroking, pinching and rolling your nipples between your fingers can produce very enjoyable sensations. Gentle fingertips gently applied to nipples can also be extremely arousing for her. The palm of your hand, applied gently in circular motions can also be enough to bring about orgasm in minutes.

U-Spot Orgasm

The U-spot is very near the urethral opening – on either side and a bit at the top It’s a teeny-tiny spot that can be hard to find, but when you do, you’ll know because it feels just like the clitoris.

Given that the urethra is sensitive and very prone to infection, it can be extremely sensitive. So you need to exercise the greatest of caution. The pee hole “responds to light friction, light pressure and maybe a light touch. So be careful.

Anal Orgasm

Yes, anal sex isn't for everybody, but if done right, it can be pretty amazing.

And if you achieve an anal orgasm, it's an entirely different kind of pleasure. But for that, you need to do it right and relax your muscles. Even better, use some lube and stimulate her clitoris along with the anal hole, as this will help to avoid any pain or discomfort. Also, woman-on-top is an easy position for anal since that way you can control the pace much better.

A-Spot Orgasm

The A-spot refers to "anterior," and it is located on the same wall as the G-spot, but about four additional centimetres (or 1.5 inches) deeper.

Yes, you can go this much deep inside her provided she likes it and does not feel the pain. Some people call the A-spot the "second G-spot" because the stimulation method is similar. You need the right speed, the right type of simulation and the right position to simulate her A-spot and bring her to orgasm.

And yes, it is not easy to find. So just relax and don’t make orgasm the goal. You will reach it after some practice.

O-Spot Orgasm

Again, a very difficult spot to find. But you can find it, you are the rock star of orgasms.

The O-spot refers to an area located on the opposite side behind the cervix (facing towards the woman's back) in the vaginal canal. The best way to find it is to put your longest finger in the opposite direction into her vagina as you will do so to find her G-spot. The spot comes across as a spongy area on the back wall of the vagina.

Just do a gentle to-and-fro motion on this spongy area and see her go wild with ecstasy.

Blended Orgasm

“Blended orgasm” is a fancy term for the delightful phenomenon of having two types of orgasms — such as clitoral and vaginal — at the same time.

Orgasms from different parts of her body happening at once. Sounds too good to be true, right? It is very much doable; just stimulate her clitoris and vagina at the same time, which can be done in all sorts of ways.

The blended orgasm is simple maths,1+1 = 2, the power of one orgasm plus the power of a second orgasm equals the strength of two orgasms. And trust me, if you give that to her, it is nothing less than a body tsunami for her.

Multiple Orgasm

Just to differentiate from blended orgasms, multiple orgasms are orgasms happening one after the other in succession.

This generally happens when you continue simulating her even after she gets her first orgasm. The key here is to go slow after her first orgasm and slowly stimulate the clit again (remember she just had one and the nerves are raw!!) and then once she is on the edge, start the penetration again. Alternate with slow and fast speeds until you get her to orgasm again.

Last Thoughts

Remember, orgasm is a journey, not a destination. Yes, orgasms are good to get but they are by no means the holy grail of mind-blowing sex. So, if she is not getting it, don’t pressurize her and make her feel disappointed. Don’t compel her to “fake” an orgasm to satisfy your ego. It isn’t just worth it.

We would all be better off letting go of that pesky orgasm-as-goal mentality and focussing only on the single-minded pursuit of sexual pleasure which comes from the gratifying sexual meanderings we experience along the way.

As Alexandra Katehakis has rightly said.

“Many lovers are ‘off to the races:’ Hurtling towards orgasm, they miss the excitement of sensual meanderings along the way.”
