I am always looking out for side hustles, I make no secret of the fact that I really do not like my day job. I have always been aware that the foot fetish business was pretty large. However, I never gave it much thought. After trying out a few side hustles that made me a little money here and there, I came across a video on YouTube from a girl that claimed she made $1000 a month from selling pictures of her feet. Ok, I thought, I have reasonably nice feet, well to the untrained foot lover’s eye anyway. So I thought I would give it a try.

I did some research on where to start. I managed to find a few websites that offers advice on how and where to sell your foot pictures, with many of the videos that I watched recommended selling on Social Media sites such as Twitter, Reddit and Instagram. However, I soon realised that the foot pic seller marked it extremely oversaturated, with sellers overwhelmingly outnumbering buyers and like anywhere else on the internet, the industry was full of scammers.

I definitely did not want to try and sell my pictures on social media, so I looked for fetish specific websites that were a little safer for sellers. I found that there are a lot of sites that allow people to sell pretty much anything from used panties to used sex toys and even vials of bodily fluids. I managed to find one website called Feet Finder that only allowed foot content, was safe and did not allow pornographic content. Great, I thought, this is the site for me.

I signed up, had my ID verified and away I went. I had already taken some pictures of my feet, so I uploaded them, got them approved and waited. A few weeks passed and I received no sales. I wondered what I was doing wrong when all these other people on YouTube were making thousands. So I looked at other ways to sell my feet pics. Other foot picture sellers recommended that you market yourself on social media. I did not want to start advertising on my personal social media that I was selling pictures of my feet. Now, that would fuel the office gossips. So I created a whole new sweep of social media accounts.

As soon as I set up my social media accounts, I received messages from countless accounts asking me for money to promote my foot pictures. One guy got a little pushy, trying to get me to pay him $20, which was discounted from $50 to promote my pictures. For which, I was guaranteed to make a couple of hundred dollars. I was sceptical and of course, I did not pay him any money.

I began to wonder if my lack of success was due to the market being oversaturated and everyone, like myself, trying to jump on the feet pics bandwagon, or were these YouTubers lying, were their videos just to get views? I then came across a YouTube video from EllBat who also tried to sell pictures of her feet to raise some money. In her very honest rendition of her foot pic selling experience, after one month, she made 0.

After still not having any success, I decided to create an Only Fans account for my foot content. I had seen one seller on Twitter claiming that the adult platform had made her thousands form her foot pics, so I thought that may be a better place to make some money. After posting some pictures and videos I finally made my first few dollars. I was so happy! Someone paid $6 to view two videos of me rubbing lotion on my feet. Amazing, I thought, I was actually going to make some money. I was wrong. Months passed, I posted every week, gained 50 followers on my page, but made no more money. Then I remembered that I had content on Feet Finder, so I logged on to see if I had made any money. I was pleasantly surprised that I had made $4.80. Unfortunately, both Only Fans and Feet Finder have pay-out thresholds, which mean that you have to have a certain amount of money in your account before you can take it out.

Six months passed and I had made no more money. I did a Google search on “selling foot pics” to which, 25,900,000 results came up. There were countless stories on how to sell feet pics and what sites to use. I wondered if the glory days of foot pic selling was over and now there were just too many people doing it. But, I guess it is like anything, you have to put in time and effort and you cannot expect results straight away. For now, I will stick with it and see if, in time I see any results. After all, taking pictures of your feet, as long as you have a camera, does not cost you any money. However, for now, I am still a little sceptical as to if it can be a real source of income.
