Does Circumcision Change SENSITIVITY? |

Assessing the pros and cons of circumcision is always a more or less subjective matter. The benefit of one can be the disadvantage of the other. The ideas presented here are based on research data, general wisdom, and the personal experiences of the maintainers of the column. Everyone should evaluate the benefits and disadvantages from their own point of view.

Benefits of circumcision

Improved Hygiene: This is the most frequently raised issue and has a bad stern. Every man with a foreskin knows that the penis should be washed daily under the foreskin. If this is not taken care of, the result is microbial growth, which results in a bad odor and, as the problem persists, the formation of foreskin catal. The foreskin sebum is also known as smegma or "guerrilla cheese". Problems can lead to inflammation of the foreskin or glans area, which always requires medical attention. When the foreskin is removed, these problems no longer exist. Of course, personal hygiene still needs to be taken care of, but penile cleansing is an order of magnitude less carefree and simpler with circumcision.

Disease prevention: Quite a lot of research data has been gathered from around the world that male circumcision has preventive effects on certain diseases. Circumcised men have fewer urinary tract infections, some sexually transmitted diseases, and penile cancer. In addition, regular female friends of circumcised men have less cervical cancer than uncircumcised men. Recent research shows that male circumcision reduces the risk of HIV infection in heterosexual intercourse by 60%.

Improved Appearance: This is purely a matter of taste, but many women and men also find a bare penis to look better than one with a foreskin.

Improved self-image: Men and boys whose religion or cultural framework requires circumcision have better self-esteem when circumcised. Similarly, uncircumcision may cause a sense of externality.

Improved sex: This is a very subjective thing, but many men who are circumcised as adults feel that sex life has improved after surgery.

Disadvantages of circumcision

Decreased sensitivity: this is the most common side effect of circumcision. There are big differences between men who are circumcised in terms of sensitivity. Someone may find a slight decrease in sensitivity even desirable as orgasm control improves. Other men experience sensitivity even with increased surgery. Experience has shown that circumcision style can have a major impact on how the sensation of the penis changes during circumcision. The inner leaf of the foreskin is a well-nervous and sensitive area. By saving it, the effects of circumcision on the senses can be minimized. It can be safely said that in most cases, a correctly performed circumcision has little effect on the trigger sensitivity. The fact that a bare glove gets used to rubbing clothes quickly is a whole different thing - and a good thing.

Aesthetically bad result: unfortunately, some doctors view circumcision very superficially as a mere treatment for foreskin stenosis. It should be remembered that the penis is a fairly important part of the body for a man, so it should be treated with piety and care. Aesthetic problems related to the outcome of the circumcision may include e.g. too much or too shortened foreskin, uneven scar, or tunnels left by sutures. In Finland, self-fusing sutures are usually used in circumcision - probably because they save the patient from the embarrassing suture removal operation. For many adult men, however, they leave behind an ugly zipper scar that can look embarrassing. Fortunately, problems can usually be corrected later, if necessary, as an aesthetic surgery operation.

A different penis is embarrassing. This is mainly a problem for young boys. Which of us would like to stand out from the crowd? In another part of the world, the concern would be the same, but the opposite. Fortunately, with the chest voice of experience, it can be said that probably no one will ever pay any attention to it. If someone says something in their stupidity, it's easy to answer back: - Are you very interested in other boys' puppies? In middle school, such speeches usually end no later than. There are thousands of circumcised men and boys in Finland - it is nothing embarrassing, unusual, or previously unheard of.

In an international review, experts have concluded that the benefits of circumcision far outweigh the disadvantages. When asked about boys and men who have undergone circumcision, they have mostly agreed.

Benefits and a half of circumcision

Circumcision (the medical term for "circumcision") has been known for a long time. The first mention of circumcision dates back to 2300 BC in ancient Egypt. These were drawings on the walls depicting the cutting.

Some people's circumcision is part of a long history and a solid religious tradition. For example, among Jews, babies are circumcised on their eighth birthday, Muslims, most often at the age of 13. In the United States, in 50 years, a national program was appointed to circumcise every newborn boy. After that, the program was canceled, but the tradition remained, even as it began to decline. Therefore, in the United States, most men are circumcised, which cannot be said of Europe.

After all, every sixth person on our planet is circumcised. Although circumcision came to life long ago, controversy over the pros and cons of this measure does not stop.

Circumcisions

  • Phimosis is an overly narrow foreskin that makes it difficult to expose the head penis. The only possible treatment for phimosis is circumcision. In this case, everyone agrees that action is necessary.
  • Reducing the risk of sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Prevention of penile cancer. Researchers have found that uncircumcised men have no penile cancer at all.
  • Increase the duration of sexual intercourse. Due to the roughness of the skin, the head becomes more sensitive, leading to delayed orgasm.
  • Better appearance. Some don’t want to see a member with a closed head or skinhead behind, preferring to be fully open.
  • Bad circumcision

  • The circumference is still an operation, and like any other activity, there are risks and complications. The most important thing, in this case, is an experienced and competent surgeon who will perform the procedure.
  • On the aesthetic side. Opponents of the circle are sure that everything is like us for a reason, and the foreskin is no exception. There is nothing unnecessary in our body, they claim. In confirming this, there are often cases where children began to remove the attachment to prevent appendicitis, and the tonsils were removed from angina pectoris. In both cases, the experiment ended unsuccessfully.
  • Any of the pros and cons of circumcision, in any case, the choice is yours.

    Circumcision myths

Around men’s circumcision revolves around all sorts of interesting “information,” knowledge, and assertion.

An interesting story rises in the United States whenever there is a social debate about circumcision. It is told how during the Iraq war, uncircumcised soldiers rushed in large numbers to be circumcised, as the sand was allegedly left under their foreskins and caused inflammation and immense pain.

This story has circulated about virtually every war the United States has been through (and also in some other countries ). The war itself changes (World War II was told in the same story) and so do some details, but the story remains. This argument has indeed been used in several conflicts, but the claim of the myth itself is entirely fictitious.

First, if the existence of the foreskin were so problematic, how would the residents in these areas not usually suffer from similar problems on a massive scale? For millennia, people would not have had an option, but everything should have been circumcised. This did not happen in nearly all desert cultures. Second, the foreskin protects the more sensitive parts of the penis. Cutting it would not improve the protection of these parts, but would make the situation worse. Third, if the situation is that inflammatory things accumulate in the foreskin area, making an open wound in that area would multiply the risk of infection. Myth busted.

Another clever myth is that the foreskin causes cancer. This is quite raffling, because who would want cancer for their child now, and cancer is, in its way, a kind of Hitler card in the world of health: if something is to be demonized, it must be tied to cancer. This myth was set in motion in 1926 when Dr. Abraham Leo Wolbars published a research paper on how circumcision provided 100% protection against penile cancer . These findings were abrogated abruptly (it turned out that penile cancer also occurred in completely circumcised Jewish communities, for example). The scars left after circumcision would seem to increase the risk of penile cancer (pdf) a little. The myth survived and is still repeated. Myth busted.

Circumcision of boys is rare in most of the world. About 15% of boys are circumcised, most of them in the United States or old-fashioned environments. Circumcision is often justified by a combination of traditional and health reasons.

Let’s be clear right away: there aren’t any health reasons. The benefits of circumcision are statistically very negligible, but the results of circumcision do have quite measurable disadvantages. For example, circumcision does not reduce the spread of AIDS . Circumcision would have an effect predisposing to chlamydia and does not help prevent arthritis, for example .

One major drawback is the deterioration of the sex life: circumcision in the light of current knowledge not only harms the sexual pleasure of the circumcised, but also his partner . In short: a circumcised man and his partner both enjoy less.

There are certain real medical problems that can be corrected with circumcision. Too tight foreskin is one example. In these cases, circumcision is a simple correction to an otherwise laborious problem. However, this only applies to those individuals who have problems, and for most men, circumcision is just an unnecessary and unprofitable measure - which can still have significant disadvantages. Circumcision of a healthy man is a bit when I eat medicine for an ailment I don’t have.

And before I forget, there’s one more argument against circumcision: It hurts, it hurts .
