Ichriby (ick-reh-be) (unsure of spelling, only pronunciation)

Ichriby was a misunderstood character. She grew up a pretty princess, adored by all as her father began as the ‘prince of the revolution’ (they didn’t have royalty, but it was the jist of his nickname) and progressed on to become ‘king of the revolution’ (though he only ran it for a short time, dying a mere two years after his daughter) at first he disliked Marielle, he didn’t approve that his daughter wasn’t who he thought she was (her journals were uncovered and they showed that she did love Marielle back, which caused concerned friends to stick close to Marielle so she wouldn’t off herself) but he grew to love Marielle as she showed how helpful she was in expanding the revolution (which was more of an aggressive nation than a revolution, but I like the name). She is killed by Jacobs a couple months (?) after having her daughter, whom she names (?) ____ (she might not name her child, and the girl is named where she’s sent away by Marielle, but maybe not. There was a lot of pressure on her to be perfect, as the daughter of the ‘prince’ then ‘king’ of the revolution, she always had to be pretty and actually got proposed to MANY times before her death (which maybe a war began over??).

Old wizard dude

He isn’t all that prominent in the story, but he’s important for sure. Idolized at first for his great, revolutionary wizarding discoveries, he’s quite hated by the revolution and most of it’s enemies. He doesn’t particularly have any allies, he took Jacobs in as a boy on the condition that he learn wizardry. His life isn’t shown much, but at some point he met Gladys. He fell in love with her and after she died he made it his life mission to find her one remaining relative. Her family was a slightly different breed, and himself being a bred wizard (he isn’t man, he was born with wizard powers rather than learning them (as Jacobs did). He always quite liked Jacobs, he thought of him as a son, though Jacobs quite hated him Jacobs could never hurt him (because of emotional or magical bond/spell or just that he’s the wizard who gave Jacobs magic, so he cannot hurt him with it (which is the only way to kill wizards)). He refuses to aid dead guy, and predicts his death in an upcoming battle. When dead guy dies, Jacob goes to old wizard dude in anger and yells at him, angry because the old wizard let dead guy die and didn’t help him, though he knew he was going to die. He does this because through his magic he also discovers that he has to be in that battle (the only way for him not to have died was if he didn’t go and Jacobs went instead, but Jacobs staying at revolution HQ meant that he was forced into love with Ichriby and she ended up giving birth to the chosen one/saviour/special person. Wizard finds out through one of Jacobs’ soldier friends (who came to get him from where the wizard was) that dead guy was the last relative Gladys had, and that it is wizard’s fault he won’t be able to find this last person (maybe he wanted to find the relative because her blood could bring Gladys back?). (Jacobs’ older soldier friend who told the wizard this ended up dying in the next battle probably). He eventually just disappears, though he does come into contact with the chosen daughter (Ichriby’s daughter) (maybe she’s destined to have Gladys’ spirit in her or something, Gladys was really powerful) for a bit and helps teach her something important that sticks with her. (Wizardry, though it can only be gifted (when a wizard teaches a human magic) to a man (from a wizard, witches might exist? Though maybe instead of witches; whatever phoenix human thing Gladys was) because the girl has Gladys’ spirit or whatever in her, she can be gifted the magic from a wizard but it’s different in her, not quite what Gladys had, not quite what wizard has).

Dead guy (had good name but I forgot it)

I had a good name for this guy but I forgot it. DARNIT. Anyways, he was close with Jacobs (like brothers) and was prominent in the revolution, though he had to die to fulfill a prophecy (which no-one but the wizard knew, dead guy’s death actually made the prophecy come true) this guy might not actually be in the stories, only mentioned and actually there in flashbacks/memories. STORY WILL PROBABLY BE IN THIRD PERSON. Hes important because it was either him or Jacobs in the battle he died in, and Jacobs would’ve died instead of him, making the prophecy impossible, but he didn’t, and dead guy died and he would’ve grown to where Jacob’s grew to in the revolution. This made Jacobs guilty and he held himself back a little because he felt like he was replacing his brother-like friend in the revolution and that had emotional impact. He was actually related to Gladys, not purely phoenix-human like she was (also because that was possibly only in women?) but he was related to Gladys and had a secret past which he didnt even tell Jacobs about. He was remembered by the revolution honourably.
