Mowing the lawn and stepping in poo ….Watthe
TV turning off or on, without command….Watthe
Dog burping in my face….Watthe
The news….Watthe
The bill at a restaurant or local grocery store….Watthe
Spellcheck as I’m sending out a text….Watthe
Netflix asking if I’ve had enough….Watthe
Writing the perfect story and then reading one that’s better….Watthe
Finding that making up words is easier than choosing one that already exists….Watthe
Watthe heck am I to say
When words keep getting in the way
Just mix a few here on my own
Like spellcheck on my telephone
Creativity and sass
A unique way to help time pass
When late at night and you can’t sleep
Another word for saying peep
Silly or sweet or just plain clever
A lot of fun to fit together
I lie in bed, sometimes late at night
Writing the words that must be rhymed
The ones that stir, stuck in my head
Feeding the thought that must be fed
Until I glance up, at the clock ⏰
And mutter in disbelieve and shock ….Watthe!
