Layla and Damon are a happily married couple they have been married for seven years now. They have two children Ian who is six and Elsa who just turned three.

Layla wakes up when she hears the door open. She looks over and sees Ian standing there.

"Good morning buddy. Come here so mommy can give you a good morning kiss."

Ian sleepily walks over to her side of the bed and lays his head on her shoulder.

"Good morning mommy. I swept very good. Mommy, can you make pancakes for breakfast?"

She leaned over and kissed his cheek then pulled him on the bed with her. "I sure can sweetie. Do you want chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream?"

"Oh, that sounds delicious. Yes, please."

"Alright, then that is what my little man gets. Now, let's go get sissy up and start breakfast."

"What about daddy?"

"Oh, daddy will get up and take a shower when we get up."

Damon is laying there listening to his wife and son talk. Layla is such a good mom and wife. He smiles as the door closes at how thankful he is to have her in his life. He slowly rises from the bed and goes to the restroom.

He brushes his teeth and starts the shower. He steps into the shower and relaxes as the water runs down his body. Once he has finished showering he steps out with a towel wrapped around his waist.

He gets dressed and goes downstairs to be with his family. He walks into the kitchen and watches his wife as she cooks their pancakes. She has Elsa sitting in her booster seat with some dry cereal and juice in her sippy cup.

She looks so sexy with her messy bed hair and pancake powder on her face. She is wearing the silk nightgown that he bought her for her birthday.

He goes back to when he first moved to Pensacola, Florida from Georgia. He walked into a restaurant and this beautiful woman was his server. She was petite, with curves in all the right places, she had dark red hair, with dark brown eyes that were almost black, and so sexy.

That moment was the moment he fell in love. He asked her out she had smiled and politely declined. He left her a twenty-dollar tip and his phone number.

Two weeks went by and he had not received a call from her. He was feeling a little sad about that. His friend had invited him to the beach that weekend. He had accepted and joined him at the beach on Saturday.

They were sitting there when he looked over and saw her with some friends wading in the ocean. He smiled and walked over to her.

"Hello again. I was very disappointed you never called. My name is Damon Verona. I just moved here from a small town in Georgia."

She smiled and blushed when she realized who he was. "I'm sorry. It's very nice to meet you, I am Layla Raines. Georgia, guess you wanted to move closer to the beach?"

"Actually, I moved here for a job. I just graduated from college and received a job offer, packed up, and here I am."

She was checking him out. She still had his number. He was tall, muscular, he wasn't skinny but he wasn't fat. He had dark hair and bright green eyes. He was a very sexy man. He filled out his jeans very nicely she recalled when he came into her work.

"I'm sorry I never called, that was a first for me. No one has ever asked me out and left their number before. So, how are you liking Pensacola so far?"

"I like it so far. Once I figure out where everything is and get to know the area better I am sure it will be better."

"So, where do you work? Did the company pay your moving expenses?"

"Yes, they did and I am working for Arcadia ICR group as an engineer. Luckily through college, I was able to work for my dad's company as a paid intern and get my credentials needed. They signed me under a five-year contract at eighty thousand the first year, and a ten thousand dollar raise for each additional year. So at the end of five years, I will be making one hundred and thirty thousand annually."

"Oh, wow. I barely make forty thousand a year with tips and my hourly wage. So, you will be here for the next five years at least. Okay, I will go on a date with you. If the invitation is still open?"

"Really? Yes, it is still open."

That was ten years ago. We dated for almost two years when I proposed, a year later we married on the beach, and bought our house. It is a beach house on Pensacola Beach we paid almost five million for the home.

It has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two living rooms, and one-bedroom upstairs has two sets of bunk beds in it. That became Ian's room he loves to have sleepovers with his friends.

Since we have young kids we fenced in our property and installed locks that have codes. Normally Layla will feed the kids then we enjoy our breakfast and coffee on the back deck.

I work four days a week ten hours a day. I finally hit my top out pay last year at two hundred thousand per year after taxes. She quit working after we got married.

Thankfully, I have a good job where she doesn't have to work. We have a good life, we both own new luxury cars, we pay all our bills, and have money in the bank. Therefore, life is good.

Our house was thankfully built with Hurricane season in mind and it can withstand the winds, we have covers to protect the windows and haven't had any issues during hurricane season. We have three generators in case we lose power.

The kids get terrified when it's hurricane season. So, now we just blast some music and play games. Then they don't even realize it's storming outside. Ian was conceived on our honeymoon and little Elsa came along three years later.

I am taking the family out on the boat today. Luckily, Friday night is our date night and the weekends are our family time.

"Baby, hello earth to my handsome husband."

I snap back into reality, "yes, dear. Sorry, I kinda zoned out there." He walked over and kissed her.

"I noticed that. Is everything okay?"

"Yes, everything is fine. I was just thinking back to when we first met. Taking a trip down memory lane." He smiled at her.

She blushed and smiled back at him. "The kids have already finished their breakfast they are in the living room. We can go sit on the deck and enjoy our breakfast." She leaned up on her tiptoes and kissed him.

He grabbed their plates and she carried their coffees outside. They sat down and enjoyed their meal. Looking out at the Ocean and enjoying the ocean breeze, the smell of saltwater, and the view.

After breakfast, they cleaned up the dishes together and then got ready. They were taking the boat into Panama Beach to have a fun day with the kids. She packed their bags and wore a white sundress with sunflowers on it, he dressed in Dark brown shorts with a peach polo shirt, and they dressed the kids.

They walked over to the boat dock and loaded up. They put life jackets on the kids and took off. They were almost into Panama when he noticed the sharks swimming below them. He turned the boat off and took pictures.

The kids were watching the sharks swimming under them, their boat had a glass see-through area in the center of the boat. The kids were watching them and laughing.

There were probably ten or fifteen hammerhead sharks swimming around. After a few minutes of watching them, they proceeded to the docking area.

They docked the boat and he walked to the extra car he kept here for their trips. They went to Wonderworks, Race city, Emerald Falls, and finally to the trampoline park. They went to dinner and ended the evening with ice cream.

They parked the car and loaded back on the boat. Both kids were completely worn out. Elsa had fallen asleep in the car after ice cream. Damon had carried her from the car to the boat in her car seat to let her sleep.

He placed her life jacket on and sat her near her mom. Layla sat there with Elsa on one side and Ian on the other. They made their way back home. He saw the hammerheads still swimming around.

He smiled as he passed by them and continued on his way home. When he docked the boat, he carried Elsa to their house and Layla held Ian's hand.

When they got home they bathed both kids and laid them down. Damon read Elsa a story while Layla read Ian a story. Once both kids were sound asleep. They both went to their room to change into their pajamas.

Layla put on his T-shirt and a pair of capri pants, he wore a pair of sweat shorts and a tank top.

They walked to their deck and cuddled up on the lounge chair. This was their life and neither of them could be happier. He had everything he had ever wanted.

He had a beautiful wife, two amazing children, a nice home, and a great job. Layla felt the same way, she had an amazing husband, two beautiful children, and amazing life. She was so glad she accepted his dinner invitation all those years ago.

They just relaxed in each other's embrace listening to the waves as they crashed against the shore. This was heaven on earth for him. He was so thankful for the job offer that led him to her.

She was without a doubt his other half. She was his soulmate. His life was perfect because she had accepted his invitation for a date. It was really hard for him to wait so long to propose to her.

He had fallen in love with Layla the first time he laid eyes on her. He still thanked Gregg for inviting him to the beach that day because that was the day she said yes.

They went out the very next night and from that moment on they were inseparable. They had dated for six months before they ever became intimate. They had gone on vacation together.

He took her to Hawaii their first vacation and to Paris their next vacation. They went to The Maldives for their honeymoon.

He hears her soft breathing and realizes she has fallen asleep in his arms. He easily gets up and picks her up. He carries her to their room and gently lays her down.

He covered her up, kissed her, and then walked back downstairs to lock up. He locked all the doors and turned off all the lights. He walked back to their room. He laid down beside her and cuddled up beside her and peacefully drifted off to sleep.
