Vengeance the dog

This sinister deed was done.

When I left the house — hiding my assassin’s blade. A dog sat near the entrance, we exchanged glances. I patted it, but it didn’t leave. Its eyes peered into my soul. I soon grew uneasy with it. Anxiety overcame me.

That nemesis! How dare it watch me! Do I deserve its malicious stare?

Then it leaped, locking its jaw around my throat. I gasped. My life was slowly slipping away, I reached for my dagger — it wasn’t there — and the last thing I saw, was its name on the collar.

Vengeance.
